Hitman, I am forty. Because I am broke, I eat less. However, instead of dying, I work out! My body shape is better now than 10 years ago. Keep working out.

I find that avoiding certain foods doesn’t work.
What works for me is to pursue protein.

To get ripped I lift weights approx. 3 times a week. I also try do low intensity cardio 2-4 times a week such as slow jogging or biking.

Like you, I also eat tuna, but I need to add lime/lemon as I cannot eat it straight from the can. I am 35 and in much better shape than back in my twenties where I only drank alcohol and ate unhealthy. Not really on a budget so I eat lots of cottage cheese, oat porridge, greek yoghurt, chicken breast, apples, beans, broccoli, spinach, beef, eggs and olive oil.

    I like to:

    Bike ride around the county
    Cable Crossover
    Chess press
Tire flip, push, pull, sledgehammering – I want to
    Bench press
    Seated Rowing
    Lat pull downs
    Punching the punching bag
    Triceps extensions
    Bicep curls
    Swim
    Shooting basketball hoops
    Resistance bands
SOON – Rucking – after my 2 rucksacks come in FedEx this week.

As far as what I eat, or drink:
Big salad: grape tomatoes, chopped onion, mushrooms, black olives, white kidney beans, French style green beans, confetti-shredded kale, cottage cheese, shredded sharp cheddar, slices of chicken or 2 cans of solid white tuna. As a topping, I use olive oil and balsamic vinegar instead of salad dressing.
Chicken breasts pan fried in olive oil and seasoned up.
Cottage cheese without the salad mentioned above.
Fish, mainly tilapia pan fried in lemon juice and well seasoned
Fruits: Blueberries, strawberries, peaches, avocados (I don’t know what group it falls under), pears, pineapples, apples but with peanut butter.
Vegetables: broccoli, cauliflower, onions, green onions (chopped and sprinkled on my food), mushrooms, beans, spinach, French green beans, potatoes, and sprouts.
    Chicken legs every Sunday

    What I drink:
Since being on CLA Core and Shed Matrix, I’ve no longer had a craving for soda, but am drinking just flavored sparkling water, regular bottled water, V8 spicy low sodium, and skim milk. I haven’t had a can of soda in 2 weeks, and for me that’s a big deal as I once used to drink a can of soda every few hours. And on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and holidays I drink a single can of Coors Light.

I eat right and I keep myself active, which is amazing why I’m still over 250 pounds. But that MusclePharm stuff seems to be working.

I just do pushups for exercise. I haven’t worked out in a while and I just recently started out doing 40 pushups every other day. Once they become really easy for me, I plan on adding another 40. And I plan on gradually adding 40 every time a set becomes extremely easy for me to do.

You’d be surprised how much pushups are the best exercise around. You don’t need gym equipment, you can do them anywhere you want and they practically workout all of the muscles in your body. It’s also as good an exercise as running, so you get your cardio done as well.

As for what I eat, I mainly stick to protein during the day. At breakfast, I eat fried potatoes mixed in with chicken, onions and sometimes eggs.

For lunch, I stick with either a sandwich with deli meat I got from Whale-mart or soups. For dinner, I eat a bunch of protein such as chicken or beef.

As for soda I still drink it, but mainly on the weekends. Otherwise, I mainly drink just water.

Check this out. It’s a program that helps you work up to 100 pushups/day.

    But don’t sell yourself short.

Once you hit that, and you will, then make your target 500 in a single day. You’ll hit that. Then work down to under an hour. You can compromise on form each time you push for more(protecting the back) but then take the time to correct it and end up with proper form. You will be surprised at what the human body can handle.

Nothing can be accomplished worth bragging about without a plan and the willpower to follow through.

I don’t seem to be able to QUOTE for some reason…

Anthony , I know nothing of your exercise routine but since you only mentioned push ups as a workout , I highly recommend you read in to muscular imbalances.
By doing a repetitive movement like push ups where you work your chest a lot , the opposite muscles ( your back ) might become longer and weaker to compensate for the tight pecs. It’s A LOT more technical than that but the information is out there !
When I started working out in the gym ,I had no idea what I was doing and never did my homework. I did loads of upper body work, mainly in the pushing department and not pulling ( A big no-no. Your back should be stronger than your front in my opinion). And I completely neglected legs and core, thinking they are strong enough from my Parkour days. Only when I started hearing clicking sounds in my knees and hips that I scrolling through the internet for answers.

Since then I am training my legs like I’m obsessed with them, not neglecting my core and posture and trying to be mindful of the way I move around as to try and recreate the most natural and efficient movement patterns throughout my body.

I am in a pretty good form but for years already I never had a proper workout plan to go by. I lift weights, I started to run for cardio and I keep flexible. Now while those things hold true , I will confess that I have been just lazying around for almost a month now and it sucks ! As I am writing this , I decided to go and make a proper workout plan just now and get off the useless, life-sucking couch!

Anyway, keep active brothers ! Be it through just going for walks , playing sports or like Mr. bigD said , masturbation haha
