    RIP soldier.

Just heard this myself. He let those of us who were not privileged to serve understand the hell of dealing with drill instructors.

He has been in so many things… A good actor and appeared to truly love what he did

No longer can we walk away, we must run. Remove the motive power.

Heaven has a bottle of whiskey, a box of cigars and a machine gun waiting for him.

    RIP Mr. Ermey.

The world really is ending. Damn it. Time to get those whites cleaned up. I hope his family request the honor guard.

You are all alone. If you have been falsely accused of RAPE, DV, PLEASE let all men know about the people who did this. http://register-her.net/web/guest/home

Semper Fi, Gunny Ermey! You served your country well, so rest in peace.

During my Army days, we always joked about his character, Gunnery SGT Hartman. We used to do role playing with someone acting the part of PVT Pyle for laughs. This movie was funny as hell:

"I saw that there comes a point, in the defeat of any man of virtue, when his own consent is needed for evil to win-and that no manner of injury done to him by others can succeed if he chooses to withhold his consent. I saw that I could put an end to your outrages by pronouncing a single word in my mind. I pronounced it. The word was ‘No.’" (Atlas Shrugged)

An acquaintance of mine actually worked on a show with him where they built and also remodeled homes for veterans. It’s called Military Makeover.

One of the best male role models to date, he left us too soon.

Don't chase tail. Turn yours around, walk away, and live free!
