Back in the 80s, Ric Ocasek and The Cars were a very popular band. The guy was fairly unattractive, but managed to land a Sports Illustrated super model, Paulina Porizkova, and they married in 1989. Amazingly, it last almost 30 years, and for all that time, they seemed to be one of the happiest celebrity couples I had heard of. They had a few kids, and I even remember seeing an interview with her, tearing up when she talked about how much she loved him.
Not surprisingly, they are finally getting divorced. I had often thought of this couple, when I was having relationship difficulties myself. I thought that if they could make it, maybe there was still a chance for me to find a decent woman and stay together. This couple was a symbol of the last bit of hope that I had. I wonder how nasty the divorce will be.Time has not been good to her. This was 2014 when she was 49.
"I've been thinking about what it would be like if we got back together."
"You know it's too late for that."30 years, hell of a lot longer then most.

“‘Til death do us part, but people change” if this was the vow, how many guys would not get married?
"It seems like there's times a body gets struck down so low, there ain't a power on earth that can ever bring him up again. Seems like something inside dies so he don't even want to get up again. But he does."
Honestly… I think she looks pretty good for 49 in that pic. We all age, it is part of life. But the bigger picture here, is that I thought this was one of those “perfect couples.” She used to go on and on about how much she loved this guy, regardless of his looks. I truly thought they would be together forever. Granted, Ric Ocasek is no George Clooney, but as we know, looks don’t matter if you have big money. Ric is probably still getting royalties from pretty much every movie that was made in the 80s and 90s. But if a guy with that kind of money can’t even find a happy ever after, what chance does any of us have?

3 years or 30 years, it doesn’t matter.
they ALL have a ‘done by date’
No matter what YOU invest into it.
So why invest in ANY of it.
F~~~ NO.
30 years, hell of a lot longer then most.
Whether the fuse is fast or slow, the same explosion awaits.
Do not date. Do not impregnate. Do not co-habitate. Above all, do not marry. Reclaim and never again surrender your personal sovereignty.

I was going to say she looks alright for 60 but then saw her age. The wall wins again.
