Anyone here a fan of Metroid, or get the remake of the 2nd game? My first was Prime 2 back when that came out, and the Wii version might be my overall favorite, but I’ve since played most of the others. I managed to cheat to the end of the first game, but I’ve yet to finish Zero Mission or Fusion. I gave up on the original version of 2 since I kept getting lost. So far, the remake is a lot easier to stomach and introduces a lot of fresh things to this type of game.
The one thing I’ve been seeing that annoys me is the Other M bashing. People are free to have their opinions, but the basis that it was sexist was entirely unfounded, and I should have seen that as a sign of SJWs intruding gaming back when it was fresh. Metroid without much story is fine, and Other M wasn’t without issues as a whole, however it is a bit sad these idiots who thought just because Samus had some character other than your typical stoic stereotype that she was somehow ruined, that we likely won’t see any other serious attempts at anything more story driven.
"I have the fury of my own momentum." "With this ring I thee wed. Fire walk with me."
Watch as the SJWs claim 1980’s male gamers were sexist in that playing a woman character, Samus, in Metroid, was objectifying women. And how SJWs male gamers are always sexist, how all games should only have female protagonist characters with only female gamers playing those games.

Anonymous1Metroid was one of my favorite games for Nintendo. I played the SNES version a few times and liked it. The last one I played was Prime: III for the Wii, very well done game. Great series!
Loved super metroid on the snes. Also prime 1 on the gcn.
I’ve been a fan since the Super Nintendo days. Return of Samus is great!

How about we just have no representation of women in videogames, so then there will be no complaints of “objectification of women”. Can these little snowflakes just eat a dick? Most are just posers masquerading as gamers anyway.

In the middle of playing Metroid Prime for the Wii. It’s a great game. If I had the 3DS, I would get Return of Samus.
Metroid is easily one of the best games of all time. Hands down.
The Prime series is very good on the wii/gamecube.
The original one on NES was way ahead of its time. SNES version is an amazing. Check out the ones released on Gameboy Advance. There are emulators for them. I believe there are 2 Metroids that they released on that platform.
I still need to finish Metroid Other M, for the Wii.

Right Stentorian. There is Metroid Fusion and one more on GBA. I have played Metroid Fusion a bit and it is similar to Metroid 3 (Super Metroid). Great games to be sure.
