    I invested then retired before my time. Pensions and Social Security will be a help, but you aren’t likely to be comfortable depending on them alone.

    I guess I am not allowed to post the link to Mr. Money Mustache anymore… not sure what the deal is, but I just tested the forum and as soon as I put the hyperlink my post disappears from the forum.  Other links seem to work just fine.

    I dont know why its blocked, cause its one of the best early retirement websites out there, completely changed the way I think about investing.

    Check out the Mad Fientist and Go Curry Cracker also.

    They explain how to reduce your taxes, even to the point of not paying taxes again, legally. I am obsessed with these three websites right now.

    I’ve lent several friends money over time with the promise that they would pay me back.

    They never did.

    Why? It is hard for a person to have the legal leverage to enforce a loan agreement. People simply say, I have NO money. What can you do?

    I would put money into a mutual fund, rather than loan it out.
