The climate is always changing. The geological record shows periods that were both hotter and colder than today. As for me, I’d rather try to grow crops and raise livestock in a warm climate than a cold one. Too bad I’m not in charge of those things.

What we can do, and should do, is stop pumping pollutants into our air and water. North America and Europe have done a good job so far. The big offenders are India and China. They are back where we were in the 1970s. Their people are suffering horribly in Deli and Beijing.

Solar activity predicted to fall 60% in 2030s, to ‘mini ice age’ levels: Sun driven by double dynamo
    Date: July 9, 2015
    Source: Royal Astronomical Society (RAS)
Summary: A new model of the Sun’s solar cycle is producing unprecedentedly accurate predictions of irregularities within the Sun’s 11-year heartbeat. The model draws on dynamo effects in two layers of the Sun, one close to the surface and one deep within its convection zone. Predictions from the model suggest that solar activity will fall by 60 per cent during the 2030s to conditions last seen during the ‘mini ice age’ that began in 1645.

I agree. I think we [collectively] need to stop pumping pollutants into the atmosphere. We seem to have forgotten that the CFCs released over the last 80 (?) years are still at work destroying the ozone layer, and that the amazonian rainforests, north american rainforests, european rainforests and deciduous forests, russian forests, African forests and even Australian forests are all being (or already have been) cut down at an astonishing rate of 5 football fields a second. Particularly for Europe, the amazonian forests have a direct impact on the gulf stream of warm air that keeps northern Europe from being frozen for 3 months each winter. Cut the forests down and it shouldn’t be surprising that Europe starts to experience colder winters and more dramatic weather.

    The environment DOES matter.

Having said that, I do not buy into the current global warming alarmist myth that is “scientific fact”. The NIPCC report, and other notable figures have shown that we have been lied to using statistical manipulation and that the climate changes daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, decadally, and further, and all of this is normal.

“Global Warming” is a classic Problem-Reaction-Solution manipulation, where a One-World-Government can be ushered in against everyone’s better judgement, all in the name of “Saving the Planet”! Studies have shown that decentralization and local autonomy is better for people. Centralization only benefits large corporations.

Which brings me to a side point. Who benefitted most from Carbon trading? Large corporations, who sold their carbon credits for a profit, and made vast sums of money.
