For a few years now, I’ve enjoyed my little morning ritual: A cup of coffee and a newspaper. Well, that came to a screeching halt today, because I got so fed up I couldn’t keep on reading.

This is a personal opinion, but I’ve always held spanish newspapers in high regard, since they tend to feature well written articles showing both sides of the coin. Yeah, the authors try to peddle you their s~~~ (like any other), but I’ve always found them, at the very least, interesting. That’s why it pains me all the more to admit our written press has been slowly going down the s~~~ter.

It began with an article here or there, condemning male abuse. Hey, that’s something I can get behind, nobody likes mindless violence. Then it was an article in the business section about how females earn less than men for the same job. Then it was an article in the culture section about rape. Then an article shaming masculinity. All in the span of a few months. And when they saw they could get away with it, they began going for the throat. Men are violent. Men are evil to women. Men this. Men that. Need more women in tech. Need more women in tech. Need more women in tech. Error 404: Females in positions of power not found. Error. Error. Patriarchy. Sodding hell. The kind of things I’ve read recently have made me shudder.

So, what was the straw that broke the camel’s back? I picked the most conservative, right-wing paper available and shat down. Among other things, it featured:
    – One editorial and one article shaming Trump. We get those on a daily basis. In Europe.
    – One article shaming Spain for not taking enough refugees.
Two articles and two editorials bitching over the fact that there are not enough women in politics and how having women on a 50% ratio would make things run smoother (no joke)
    – One article on victims of male abuse (those are a daily thing as well)
    – One article on toxic masculinity
    – A movie review that lowered the score because there were barely any women in the cast
    – One article on the wage gap, and other one on the lack of females in STEM.

I can’t pinpoint when this s~~~ started to creep up, but it’s like this every single day now. We don’t have a SJW culture (we don’t even use the term “social justice”). We have a socially reactionary goverment in place. Feminism never caught up (overall, it’s regarded with hostility). And yet, somehow, this f~~~ing narrative managed to infect everything.

Let this be a warning to you men living in what you consider the safe havens of rationality left in the world. Overnight, I stopped being a young, regular guy with a degree, and I became another violent white male taking up space I don’t deserve in STEM. It’s bonkers.

    It’s bonkers.

I’m nodding. You don’t see it …. and then it’s everywhere. Like learning a new word you never heard before. That same week, 5 people use in a sentence. Freaky how that works.

I dont’t have such big problem that this s~~~ goes on. I have a problem when I consciously reject it and others behave like I’m somehow unreasonable. For example, I don’t tolerate ANY feminist bulls~~~ in my personal life….. so when a feminist gets on her soapbox within earshot, I will either verbally destroy her and make her cry, or she doesn’t exist.

bitching over the fact that there are not enough women in politics and how having women on a 50% ratio would make things run smoother (no joke)

    No. It IS a joke.

… to which I would reply: “Yeah there are not enough women taking the garbage to the dump – or climbing into the sewers either. You girls never talk about that “inequality”. Now why would that be?”

    There’s the punchline.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

Keep the coffee. Replace the paper with other sources available over the internet. Well, that is what I did. Suit yourself.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

Would be interesting to see what response you got if you made the same points in a letter to the paper?

See if they print it. Ask why the editorial direction seems to have changed. Get a public discussion going?

I have noticed an increase in man bashing in the media. Fortunately mainstream media are fast becoming the ‘fringe’ media and far less relevant –

I subscribed to the NY Times for probably 25+ years. It was always liberal, and I consider myself conservative, but I always enjoyed and appreciated the paper. The writing was quality, and I enjoy reading divergent views regarding current events.

In the last few years (3?) the liberal slant became so extreme that reading the paper enraged me. It was not just another viewpoint, I felt it was a concerted effort about pushing an agenda.

Mainstream media is dead to me now. I start my day with Drudge and feel that gives me a good sampling of the day’s issues.
