1) Could something be done about the number of pinned threads in “MGTOW central”?
2) Would it be possible to allow one to pick a default version (i.e. V.1 or V.2) in one’s profile? I ask since the board defaults to V.2, which sometimes causes my browser to crash.
Thank you for your efforts thus far toward this message board.
@CipherHighwind I don’t think I have welcomed you personally yet, but I have read and and enjoyed many of your comments.
Thanks for the requests and welcome to the forums.
We Pin (stick) some of the forums for a few reasons.1. To maximize replies and pull attention for interest – OR – because it covers very general MGTOW fundamentals new visitors would be interested in.
2. Either in hopes that more members will welcome new introductions… or to generate replies with as many responses as possible because it’s a topic we plan on turning 8into a front-end feature in the near future.
I agree it was too many for too long so I removed them. Been planning to do it for days thank you for pointing it out, I am hoping nobody else was totally annoyed by it.
YES We can have the forum default to V1 for you and keep it in memory – which is actually what we did ORIGINALLY (like a permanent switch) … but now you can do it on the fly. It only requires a click and that will transform the whole forum to whatever you want instantly — and it will remain that way for your entire session. People generally prefer to switch back and forth on demand rather than going back to their profile to adjust it every time – so this is a feature which is MORE convenient than one might expect. We made it as accessible as putting it infant of your nose at all times.
If you want, you can send us a quick message from the contact form (TOP MENU RIGHT) and your browser will be reported to us so we can test it using what you use to iron out any bugs for you.
If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.1. To maximize replies and pull attention for interest – OR – because it covers very general MGTOW fundamentals new visitors would be interested in.
That has helped me a lot when I first signed up almost 2 months ago which went like in no time at all and makes it seem like half a year to me. Very well thought out, KM… … and cheers
Ned T.
I'd rather die a natual death with a clear MGTOW conscience somewhere off the grid than one within "modern" civilisation with a big stress mark on my forehead and a couple of dozen tubes plugged into my body. Back to the plantation..? Me..? Hey, literally: I won't ever fucking kid myself...YZERLMNTSIC
Thanks Ned. And PS…. I enjoyed our exchange earlier today, and WILL respond to your most recent post. Just playing catch up right now and will get back later. thanks very much!
If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got. It’s no longer the most recent one in that thread but the one before that (containing the fairly stupid question of mine) which I enhanced a bit later. But do take all the time you need, Sir, for I can imagine how busy you are with regards to catching up…

KeyMaster,
Thank you for addressing my post, but I fear the floating toggle is not sufficient. The reason being, the forum keeps reverting to V.2 and occasionally causes a browser crash. This happens without closing the window or clearing cookies or other site data.
It is possible that a browser add-on may be conflicting with the site, so the problem could well be on my end. I am running Opera v.27.0.1689.76 w/ AdBlock Plus & Disconnect.Me add-ons.
In passing, how did you make the
male and female icons as seen here? /forums/topic/this-website-has-officially-been-attacked-by-a-woman-on-youtube/#post-12004
Well Opera (and especially Internet ExploDer) are not actively supported by us. Try it in Chrome and see if it’s giving you the same issue. The forums view preference is stored in a session so when you click the view button it should remain in that view until you change it back or quit your browser and return. The very minimal un-enhanced V1 plain option will give you the plain – no frills – forum as it is right out of the box with no fancy nothing. But the reason we default to “enhanced” is primarily for tablets which is 25% of our users…. and for large 1280+ desktops. Opera users are by far one of smallest % of our visitors. 50% are using Chrome. And MOST desktops are using Safari, Chrome, Firefox or Explorer 9+ / 10+ /11+. (We are actually surprised not a single Explorer user has reported a complaint of any kind. Mind blowing actually.)
The icons are coded like this:
which gives youand
which gives youYou can visit http://mgtow.com/awesome to see other classes for other symbols.
so if you want a TWITTER icon… it would be
which gives youor something like
in your comment will give youThen you can even style it like this
which gives youIf you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.I switched browsers over to Firefox and have had better luck. It is remembering when I tell it to use the forum on V.1. I would have thought the opposite given that I have Firefox locked down tighter than Opera, the browser I use as “plan B” if a site does not work with Firefox.
