    @P2P:

I will do basic PC work favors for elderly people on limited incomes or a few select friends free of charge. They are thankful and always feed me or give me whiskey.

Like you, I keep a very low profile. Everyone needs guys who can fix things.

I lie about what I do at social gatherings too. If I’m ever outed, I just tell them I only work for businesses and don’t handle residential which is true. If it’s a business owner I meet, then let the networking begin.

I always point residential to a guy at the local flea market who fixes malware ridden PCs for $50 with a one week turnaround time. He collects them on Saturday and then takes them back to his bench. If people pay, they will learn not to f~~~ up their computer than if some white knight helps them for nothing.

I make my money on tech that is not used by residential. Grandma doesn’t need a SQL script written to replace 110,000 erroneous values in a database with the corrected values. That one happened in a chemistry lab where the PhD Chemist forgot to account for one Oxygen atom in a molecule. We argued for 2 hours while I explained basic high school chemistry repeatedly to him.

I love doing projects where I get to combine my S&M parts of STEM with my T part. I need to market that aspect more.

    “Remembered for your Utility”
    by laydeez,
for this Valentine’s Day they visualize:
    candlelit dinner,
    certain piece of jewelry,
    long stem crimson roses,
    wine,
    fine chocolates,
….but not you, across the table.

Look what they are missing!, not who! they are missing

All men, this International MGTOW Day.

I have changed my first thought. Now when I see a women I get the same response to them as I do panhandlers. When I see one that is real fine woman I think what I could buy with the money it would take to have her regularly. I can no longer separate them from thoughts of a rabid car dealer who want you to take a test ride ,then take you to court If I don’t buy.The only way I would get involved with women is if I could buy them for what they are worth and sell them for what they think they are worth.

My next door neighbor is a widow in her late 70’s. We have been neighbors for 30 years. Her children are long gone and live in far away lands.

I know she is on a fixed income so I do help her with many tasks that have been traditionally “male”.

She is always thankful and appreciative for my assistance in any task. She is not demanding nor pushy and to show her gratitude she cooks fantastic meals and brings them over to my house. She has no expectation that we are going to eat together or share a meal, etc. she has offered to clean my house to show her gratitude in exchange for my help and she is not clingy or weird.

She knows I travel, so when I am away she gets my mail, keeps an eye on my house.

She is the poster child for a mutually respectful relationship. She understands that we deal from our strengths. This is the difference between her age group and the “modern woman”.

ONCE UPON A TIME there was a man who never found a wife and he lived happily ever after. The End.

Its not just women, its the whole society. The ‘elders’ telling you what to do because you are ‘youthful’ and ‘full of strength’. I’m very considerate and will do as they direct, but only upto a limit. I’m not gonna go overboard, doing favours that won’t benefit me in any way and take up my time. I prefer to live on my own terms. Unfortunately, that’s not how people like it; they keep pushing you to your limits.

I’ve dealt with the same s~~~, everyone knows I work on cars or other mechanical items in my free time, people always ask me to look over s~~~ for them, I do on occasion but never when it is “out of my way”, others assuming I will fix there s~~~ for them for free are met with an immediate response from me of, “No I can do this for this much”. A friends sister tried to get me to do some work on her interior of all things, the interior trim was coming off the doors in her car, all she had to do was get some interior glue and some patience and glue it back on all 4 doors. Not hard I didnt even want to bother with it, I think she fixed it herself 6 months later after I told her I wouldnt do it. This is the same person who has owned this car for almost 2 years and has never changed the oil… she (and most women) don’t understand that you have to maintain cars. When her motor s~~~s a crank or spins a bearing I wonder who she will pass the blame to for that. I always laugh at for sale ads that says the vehicle was “female owned and driven” like its some sort of assurance that the tranny wont grenade or a connecting rod won’t blow a new asshole in the side of the block due to not being serviced. Ever.

I used to do body work on my classic cars. Some one wanted me take dents out of car. They said they did not have much money.I told them it was about a 3 day job they could paint my house or find some other 3 day jobs I had that I need to do.I said if you want my time I want your time as my time was as valuable to me as your time is to you.No one wanted deal they wanted free.Enquirer what skills they have that might be worth. It is like the shame game with them it will only take a few minutes etc.No is the hardest thing to say to friends. If it is on trade they stop wanting favors. With women when they ask I say that is a boyfriend level favor and I don’t see us of going there.

Just going to leave that here and let it speak for itself

Funny, isn't it? How women thrive on a mans time, attention and resources, while simultaneously telling him he isn't enough...

    Funny,
Even in nature, the “Independent” woman still needs the help of a man. 60 seconds into the chase, and clearly she just quits… maybe she was hoping one of them would kill over by chance..smfh

@BinaryLogic I get your point exactly. Male lions can hunt better than lionesses…. but they hardly do the hunting most of the time. You see, they’re smart; letting ’em females do the job and just sleeping 22 hours a day. Lions are perfect examples of the smart male trait. I think I someone here has an avatar of a male lion (Zuberu Tai I think) and every time I see it, I am reminded of this fact.

I hear a lot of stories like this from my “IT Guy”. A lot of women trying to learn forward in low cut shirts to get a “low cut price”.

To bad for them it doesn’t work with him. Too many people like me offering cold hard cash for quality services. I wonder how many of them realized how transparent it is, and actually cheeses him off royally ?

Yes, I pay him that much because his time is worth it.

You know why it costs a hundred dollars to fix a carberator..in ten minutes? ..it takes years to learn how to do it that fast. .
