Taking it a step further, if I am attacked for what I believe, I choose the option of ignoring the attacker. I will not be pulled down into useless childish arguments and join in the name calling nonsense.

You made great points. Our arguments at each other don’t come often but we don’t want to make it a habit.

Hopefully it’s not the case of a wolf coming as a form of a sheep purposely baiting people but that much remains to be seen.

Hopefully we’ll see less of this stuff on this site wherever it might arise.

Hopefully no one sees my posts as an attempt to tell anyone how they should conduct themselves. I’m mostly just an observer in these types of threads that quickly lose the cohesion of the OP’s intent, whatever that may be. I only got involved to see what type of people I am sharing this site with and not to take sides or judge anyone in any way.

As we all know, it is sometimes very difficult to know the personality of someone by text communication only………and other times, not so difficult.

I am unable to tell if he is being so adamant due to hard headedness in the desire to prove his point, or if he does in fact have some agenda. ……..or if he’s trying to be sincere, but unable to weather the attacks so gets frustrated and lashes back…..

I actually think I am done “debating” (never is a debate on such topics as they can be dismissed outright from the start) and I will leave them alone. (Maybe just post memes, gifs, and youtube links from now on in an effort to troll the troll.)

I think Oldsage is likely right, this guy is a troll, or if not a troll he is here to stir s~~~ up for attention, maybe for his website that he has advertised. There never really is a “debate” to be had with a person with religion as it is all based on “faith”. I would rather debate whether or not Unicorns exist, really, I would. Religion is not Philosophical in nature, therefore it is not bound by rules of logic, it is speculative Fantasy. In the case of Biblical Religion it is a pick and choose scenario, as there is some barbaric s~~~ in there that nobody would stand and support today. When something becomes pick and choose and it has vast and often conflicting source material to draw upon it can become self serving and specialized, meaning and representing many different things.
