My inability to catch on to what was going on ( Blue Pill delusion ) caused me a full 40 yrs of insanity, confusion & pain. Some times I still think I’m one of the world’s biggest fools for truly believing in the American Dream & Hollywood endings. it took a long time for me to get from there to here. I’m fine on my own as one of the men says here. Stick with the winners. Stick with MGTOW

I believe our innate sense of honour is a sticking point wanting to hold true to the marriage vows, personally I don’t make promises I never keep, this may also translate to your situation.

I too felt I had lost my dignity after my breakup and divorce. I assure you sir, you did not. I recently went on vacation to Hawaii and I wanted to learn to paddle board. I’m sure I looked like a fool to the folks more experienced, or just watching some ol goat trying to stay up on the board. But I was learning. I didn’t look graceful and I’m 60 years old and have a little belly. Look at that old fool. But I was learning and after about two days, I was doing alright. You’ve had an expensive education, but now you are learning. And there is dignity enough deciding to travel down that road.

When we put undue weight on how others perceive us we fail to be true to ourselves, I look forward to forging a new path and have many repressed pursuits I can now entertain/experience.

Thank you all for the positive sentiment, I am not sure about “Monk Mode” as I have a fondness for the Female form but I certainly will be fully aware of the perils and thus protect myself and my sanity accordingly, a Holiday to Hawaii sounds nice although solo exploration of this large land mass is equally appealing.
