The comments are highly amusing. Nearly all of them sides with the daughter who is a completely ungrateful slut (AWALT) and has a go at the mum for being an interfering parent who should mind their own business.

My c~~~’s step mom thanked me once for being a good stable influence on her stepdaughter.

The last time I saw that woman, she snarled something ugly at me, for bringing my daughter her coat, and ex stepmom in law was there to pick up my kids from school. I smiled and wished her a pleasant day. It was a coat I bought and kept at my own home. The c~~~ sent my child to school without a coat as punishment for some minor thing. The school called me, telling me about how my daughter wasn’t dressed properly for the weather, and the teacher was concerned. The c~~~ was unavailable. I drove 90 minutes to bring her the coat. I never did get the coat back.
