Good day, brothers. I’ve an extremely important link to share with all of you. It was shared with me by an acquaintance who is a lawyer. The link is titled Real World Divorce: Custody, Child Support, and Alimony in the 50 States.

I think the information at this link is so important that I hope Keymaster can find a way to host it’s contents here at MGTOW.

The website was put together by 4 women (!!) and one man, none of who are lawyers. Three of the 5 have STEM degrees, however, and all were interested in presenting a no varnish, no bulls~~~, brutally honest depiction of how divorce works in the US today and how divorces vary between the various states.

To that end, they interviewed well known and well regarded divorce and family law attorneys in each state. All of the lawyers interviewed freely admit that the system is beyond broken and primarily used by women with ulterior motives. One is quoted as saying: “Your typical divorce plaintiff wants four things: (1) the house, (2) the kids, (3) the husband’s paycheck, and (4) freedom to spend time in the house with her boyfriend.”

Among many other things the site collects the lawyers answers to how the same five scenarios would be handled in their particular state. Those scenarios are:

1 – Professional Wife and Slacker Husband
2 – 14-Year Marriage of Equals
3 – 10-Year Marriage with Kids 2 and 5
4 – 1.75 Marriage with 8-month-old child
5 – 18 year old free spirit/music lover; no marriage

While the answers to those scenarios varies from state to state, the common thread in them all is that the man gets screwed.

I thought I knew just how bad divorce laws and family courts were stacked against men. It turns out that I DIDN’T KNOW S~~~.

You’ll spit pure bile after reading about Massachusetts’ $250,000 Abortion which is commonplace thanks to that state’s insane child support laws, you’ll weep with rage after reading about the Domestic Violence Parallel Track, and you’ll be stunned by the section on Post-Divorce Litigation

If you’re thinking about marriage or co-habitating, read that link. If you’re married and not planning a divorce, read that link. If you know any man contemplating marriage, make him read that link.

Hey Old Bill, this was a great link and a great thread. I looked up New Jersey since that’s where I come from. It was interesting to see that there are a couple of states that are actually far worse to be a divorced father in. I always thought New Jersey was the worst. The lawyer interview was not very honest about pre nups though. They are not being honored. Lawyers for the woman coach their clients on how to get around them. Example: “say your husband has a drinking problem” It makes judges nullify the
pre nup

i live in new york, i clicked on that state and it seemed spot on.
17 % of my salary goes to child support before taxes.
it’s far more than it takes to actually pay for the child.

I looked up the Texas section. Having been divorced in Texas, I found it to be pretty accurate. Only thing I would add is, in my opinion at least, it made it sound like most cases went to trial. I don’t think that’s the case. Mine certainly didn’t. Because of the Standard Possession Order, there is little room for deviation from the norm, so it seems in the best interest of both parties not to fight the standard very hard. You are likely to just throw away money.

I’d say that’s good for the individuals, but also makes me believe it’s going to very difficult to change the norm as the views on equality and parenting change.

Guys watch Divorce Corp on Netflix. It will give you a good idea of what these bastard lawyers do and how they go about fleecing you in order to ensure that your life is a living hell. F~~~ marriage, f~~~ cohabiting – nothing good can result in this current environment from living and supporting a woman.

I looked up Canada as they did a few other countries as well,
it was pretty close to the US but Iran was a shocker!
It seems marriage must come with a pre nup that determines payouts in case of divorce,so of course the women try to leverage that as much as possible.
Child custody was more straight forward-mother has them till a certain age then dad gets them.

I liked China’s rule that a woman cannot collect support for having a child out of wedlock!
They are actually fined for having one, lol
If custody of a child is contested, the court orders a 50/50 split.
Child support ends at 18 and pre-marital property cannot be divided.

See,the Chinese are far more culturally advanced than us,
and I bet it p~~~es the femnazi’s off to no end as well.

Great link. Interesting to find out that WA state only goes back 5 years on back support. I wondered about that – my kid’s mom and I have an informal agreement. It’s worked well for both of us and my lawyer friends have intoned that it’s really the best way to go if you can manage it.

Nice to know that if she changes her mind I’m “only” on the hook for five years max.

Great post Old Bill! This definitely needs to be archived here and on my favorite reading list. I wish I would have had access to this when I was younger.

Gentlemen,
This is the 100% truth.
Every other scenario is actually the “best case scenario”.
What each law states, and how it is actually played out during proceedings is usually very different. Interpretation is by a judge.
That judge, purely by indoctrination will automatically and arbitrarily “err” on the side of the “wife”, regardless of the truth, circumstances, or facts. Despite women initiating 70+ % of divorces, (if you add in antagonizing their future former spouses to such a degree that the man will initiate divorce, that figure will be much higher), they are somehow played as the injured party in divorce proceedings.
