Even though I’ve given up blue pill media such as TV and radio, I still have to deal with it somewhat when I go with my parents to help my mom with the groceries, or when I end up going in the living room at my parent’s place.

I’ve started noticing this more and more since taking the red pill. During holidays such as mother’s day, you get bulls~~~ ads like this:

I love my parents just as much as any man here does, but I’m not going to go out and spend $300 or more dollars on them just because they chose to be parents. That would be f~~~ing stupid.

At most, I’d give them $20 dollars, a bottle of vodka or whiskey, or a card. I’m not going to waste large amounts of money like that on a stupid holiday such as mother’s day.

I have no problem buying my mother something but I won’t let some manipulative ad dictate how much money I spend. What irks me is that they feel that the husband should by his wife something for mothers day. Why is this? A man doesn’t marry his mother. It’s up to the children to do something for mom and if dad does a little something, fine but it shouldn’t be expected from the dad.
It seems every single holiday is geared towards pampering women and adorning them with gifts. Even when I was married I never bought into that bulls~~~.

My mum hasn’t worked for 20 years and lives in an expensive house paid for by my dad who worked his way from nothing to a director of a large construction company in the UK. Normally on the wine by midday.

Nothing I can buy that woman, she hasn’t already had for free.

    Sorry mum

That’s exactly how I feel. If I want to buy my parents s~~~, I’ll choose how much to spend and when to do it. I don’t want to feel obligated to do it because of some stupid holiday.

What irks me is that they feel that the husband should by his wife something for mothers day.

I hate that s~~~ as well. I get if moms want their children to buy them something, but the dad doesn’t have to do s~~~. Their wives aren’t their mothers.

It seems every single holiday is geared towards pampering women and adorning them with gifts. Even when I was married I never bought into that bulls~~~.

I hated most holidays growing up because of this. As a kid, I knew that most holidays were geared towards relations~~~s or pampering women.

Now, I don’t pay attention to most holidays as it is. My favorite holiday growing up was always Halloween because you could celebrate it without all the blue pill bulls~~~ if you chose to.

This makes me want to rush down to the jewelry store and buy mom a Rolex watch today!

    Ha, ha! Just kidding!

My female relatives are going to get a nice email, and that’s it.

My mother died 16 years ago. Why should I give a f~~~ about anyone else’s mother getting a card or not.

Mother’s day is for my mother. She will get a phone call and a happy mother’s day. The rest of these harpies get nothing.

If it costs you your peace of mind, then it is too expensive.

In May 1990 my parents decided to have a double header celebration dinner for mother’s day and me
graduating from police force. I thought that celebrating mothers day was odd considering that it
was something I never witnessed in our family. As the dinner was being consumed my younger sister
asked my parents why mothers day, valentines, or women’s day was never celebrated before.
I noticed my mother smile a little but did not offer any explanations.

Next, I was taken aback quite a bit when my old man, a blue pill guy came out with this.
Talking to my sister he said “I bought your mother a wedding ring, jewelry and flowers when your
brother was born, jewelry and flowers when you were born.”
“Oh yeah, also, she got a bank book with both of our names on it.”
“So, she knows I love her, provide for her and it is not necessary to repeat the same old custom
year in year out just for the sake of it.” “Anyhow, if she wants something special the bank book
is at her disposal.” “Any other questions ?” as my mother kept eating with a smile on her face.

What surprised me was that he did not pander to my mother with all the usual annual female bulls~~~
nor have I heard that he ever did for the last 25 years. She did have it made and appreciated it.
