    By quote notifications I take it you mean that the person being quoted will be notified when that occurs?
    Right now there’s a “notify me of follow up replies” which although can lead to lots of emails, does the trick for me.
    If we have quote notifications it will probably be part of more cycles of added features which slow everything down which necessitates speeding them up via more expensive computers which will be slowed down by future added features

    Overall my concern is that we are like the USSR whose economy was intentionally bankrupted by the pushing of “star wars” threat, causing them to spend more than they had, on stuff that wasn’t actually needed. This could be an Achilles heel for us to be exploited by feminists and society by falsely triggering a need.

    Hopefully you are not pushing for it for the wrong reason. My concern is not personally directed at you i.e. No offense intended. It’s just that the powers that be here have to be careful when balancing the budget so to speak with regard to improvements’ degrees of necessity.

    Great news. We’re already ahead on that , and have implemented notifications last month. Very excited to try it, we tested it late at night but found it to be heavy.

    BUT!!! We just upgraded to a new server (officially last week) and the site is flying so we’re gonna try it again tonight. It will tell you if someone replied to your topic, sent you a private message and stuff like that – while you are online.

    There will be a pop up announcement saying we’re testing it and if it doesn’t slow anything down, we’ll let it run. Thank you for the suggestion.
