What gets someone to the point where they no longer want to fight back? This has been on my mind a lot since I feel like people are beginning to lose a lot of space for running away or to choose non-violent options.

I was rolling on the mat with some LEOs a while back and the discussion eventually turned to the use of force during street altercations.

Higher ranking practitioners in combat sports (such as BJJ, Judo, Greco-Roman Wrestling, or Muay Thai) have successfully used basic techniques in subduing resisting, drunk, and armed opponents on the streets, without ever having to smash the living day lights out of them or put a bullet in them. The seasoned officers who are on the force who supervise the new hires give stories about how twenty years ago, they never hesitated to put their hands on someone being a menace in a public space. Today, when some of these guys have to make a traffic stop or respond to a call, they second guess themselves because they have to think of Department policies, Social Media, and then IA investigating them.

At the end of the day, a lot of guys had the attitude where they begin to accept it and will just go with the flow, as that’s just how life is.

Unfortunately, I’ve observed the left using this complacency and discouragement as an opportunity to increase the level of absurd laws and policies to the point where a LEO’s job becomes increasingly difficult to perform. Then, when the cops who are door kickers or on the street get the news, they’re “us vs them” feeling strengthens, and the division increases.

I’ve spoken with people who show up at BLM rallies and engage in that type of activism, and most of their information is not surprisingly biased. Some have made more efforts to understand LEO use of force then others, and I believe if these people who speak out on police brutality were to have a very honest conversation with LE and understand the culture and dynamics of violence, a lot of ideas they’ve made up in their heads about each other would disappear, since there are people on the ground trying to listen to each other and help each other out. It’s just that the leaders are becoming increasingly divided, and then say mean things to each other instead of trying to work it out.

Any ideas on how I could demonstrate this in my personal life? I feel like I went above beyond what most people would do by actually listening to what each side has to say.

Here’s Funker Tacticals take on it:

Tim Pool made this video which inspired me to hear people out on both sides, and to develop my discernment:

I’m curious on people’s take on this because this level of division is becoming increasingly dangerous, and it’s going to suck seeing friends from both sides hate each other, when they have so much more in common.

At some point the people behind this nonsense are going to have need of the cops, and my guess is that day will be either be or be not long after the day the cops say f~~~ it and leave the streets to the mob.

Avoid police, avoid crowds, avoid the gunfire!

Just AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Then quietly step over the dead bodies of those that didn’t AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

If not, you may as well fly an airplane at top speed through the suspension cables of any major suspension bridge!

If you have done your job well, been profesional about it, you can take pride in yourself.

    Dont worry what others think.

As you stated, it would be a good idea for both sides to communicate. A town hall meeting between Black Lives Matter and various police chiefs would be informative.

"I saw that there comes a point, in the defeat of any man of virtue, when his own consent is needed for evil to win-and that no manner of injury done to him by others can succeed if he chooses to withhold his consent. I saw that I could put an end to your outrages by pronouncing a single word in my mind. I pronounced it. The word was ‘No.’" (Atlas Shrugged)

Time to take on another job when the left and the right are too busy pushing you around instead of them talking…You become the pawn and the scapegoat in whatever happens as decided by the asses…

I’d like to thank everyone for their input. Although this is a difficult situation, it’s only making me stronger since the only path I can go is up.

It is bothersome that I’m beginning to check out some of the bigger law firms in the nation to see what they can do for me. But even if I have all the money in the world, I cannot over rule a court decision with an uneducated jury, a biased judge, and a DA or Prosecuting Attorney that wants my head.

Here’s a incident where Donald Cerrone, one of the top welterweights in the UFC, couldn’t lift a finger to some dip s~~~ who assaulted him, since he was dealing with another court case:

Decades ago that man wouldn’t have been escorted to the local hospital.

As usual, there’s people commenting that this is just the new way the world works. I feel like people are putting a blanket over their heads and think the monster is going to go away.

I want to flee to a state where the pace of life is slow enough to allow people to breath. I’ve spoken with people that lived in those types of areas and they don’t have the problems normally observed in highly urban areas, but I won’t. I’ve chosen to fight.

Even if I lose, I learn. And that what makes me stronger, that’s how I’ve overcome obstacles, and that’s how I surpassed my enemies in my path.
