Hi Guys,
I am trying to figure out my diet here and I am a bit confused
1. I read that Pastrami and all of that kind of processed food is unhealthy according to recent researches, remember? there was a big fuss over it on the news and since then no one buys those things.
2. I eat a lot of boiled eggs and tuna after a workout , I also add a salad to it, but I’m confused what are the best vegetables to eat.
3. Oat meal – I have it in the morning
any other meals you suggest, what do you have after workout, I am tired of eggs and tuna sandwiches and don’t get me on the protein drinks, that s~~~ never looks good.
I eat what I like without really thinking about this type of stuff.
I am 5% body fat and have plenty of muscle.
I don’t recommend people fussing too much on diet. Eat what you like, but within reason.
Are you trying to gain or lose weight? A good site with some great training info that I like is http://mikementzer.com/. Click on the Articles tab over on the left. Some good nutrition info, strength training info, etc. Basically, he espoused eating a good, balanced diet. It’s worked for thousands of years, since the Romans. He is not too big on supplements, although during his career I am sure he did a lot of steroids. Can’t compete with the big boys like Arnold unless you are using some kind of performance enhancers. Of which I have no problem with.

Great site.
My BMI is what it should be now, but I would like more muscles and be awake during the day.
I do have a tendency to have weight drops, after not eating well.Peppers and grilled chicken are great.
Any lean meat with low fat you can put in your salad.
If you want to build muscle low reps and high weights in your work out. Do pull ups and pushups in between every set. Hypertrophy makes you see gains quick.
Boost shakes are also good with almond mitlk and monster milk powder. The strawberry kind is delicious, you only need half a scoop and the almond milk makes it like a smoothie. I’m not big on shakes either but that was a game changer for me.
Chase a check, never chase a chick...
This dude on youtube, Marc Loblinger or something, his channel: tigerfitness is full of great training info too. He sells a lot of nutrition stuff, so ignore the upsell. But his training/diet info is pretty solid. Funny dude too…
I just joined up at Planet Fatness a bit ago…getting back into the training game again. Not looking to be the worlds best built cripple but…I like to be strong. I don’t wanna be weak and decrepit when I am 70 and beyond! Got a lot of time I wasted on failed marriage and s~~~…have to make up for that time and be able to enjoy it! Feels good and I just love lifting heavy s~~~.

BCAA’s, creatine and a nap are ideal post workout.

Don;t go by BMI.
BMI is awful as any kind of measure of your health unless you are extremely overweight in which case you dont need a bmi number to tell you you’re unhealthy.
BMI assumes given two people of equal height, the less heavy person is automatically healthier. Which is a total bulls~~~ assumption.
The thinner person could be underweight, suffering illnesses, anemic, elderly (as we age we lose weight), be thin but out of shape thin (skinny fat), etc.
Studies have proven people with more weight who exercise are in better health than thin people who do not exercise. Crash tests show people who have some abdominal fat have less injuries in a crash than people who have very little abdominal fat (no I am not saying develop a gut).Don’t use the BMI to consider yourself a good weight or not. It is one of the worst things nutritional science ever foisted on the public as “gospel”.
Overnight it automatically labeled tens of millions of people who were healthy as overweight or obese. And they did nothing different. Athletes and lifters and well muscled individuals, and even some people with some extra weight who regularly exercise were incorrectly shoved into categories of overweight and obese just by two gross factors – height and weight, by one glaring incorrect assumption.
Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

Genetics is a thing.
Most important thing, IMHO is eating within 30-60 minutes after you’re done. I watch women go to SNAP and then go to Starbucks for a Latte afterwards. DO NOT DO THAT. Go home and eat and soon.
If you take creatine it should be taken after workout for sure. Also, Glutamine RIGHT AFTER workout is done with plenty water is very helpful to arrest protein catabolism. Glutamine is great stuff.
