I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD, GAD, Major depression before. I was on heavy meds for 4-5 years. Then I did some research and figured out the pharma scam. I quit all the pharma meds and feel better than ever. I love MJ and have been a grower for a while. People call me Dr. Dre. (my name is Andrej).
I work with an afghan vet who has PTSD. He’s been struggling a lot. Until I prescribed him the weed therapy – two one-hitters three times a day. He’s like a brand new person now.

Ive had severe anxiety attacks since 18. Went to the hospital for a few of them. There’s a book called “From panic to power” that helped me through it all. Theres a host of other resources, pick your favorite. I was too afraid to take meds so I’m proof that they aren’t needed to control stressful thoughts complete with body symptoms.
An exercise routine helps me with stress levels these days. Meditation shows you that fearful thoughts are just paper tigers. There are many options beside medication.
Some people have taken mild meds to help them start learning their anti anxiety regimes. They usually wean off of them, a good doctor that you trust can help assist.
I’ll be happy to answer more questions on this, feel free to ask.
May the Force Be With You
I have been diagnosed with Avoidant Personality Disorder (basically Social Anxiety, but with the fact that I can’t take criticism without having a panic attack, which is annoying) and ADHD and “possible depression.” It’s been affecting my social life and my work life as well. What’s funny is that NONE of the meds the docs prescribed to me worked. They tried Xanax, Celexa, Lamictal, and Invega. All of them just made me more air-headed, forgetful, dizzy, and overall miserable about life. Starting this week after much research, I read about a possible link between ADHD and Vitamin B-12 deficiency. I bought some Vitamin B-12 supplements (heck, they’re a lot cheaper than the above meds I listed) and I’m now starting to remember things a lot more than I have in over a year, I’m less distracted (though somewhat still am), less depressed, AND I feel a lot more confident about myself. Interesting, eh?
Consistent INTENSE workouts do help. Never weight train the same muscle two days in a row. Leg presses/squats/bench presses/heavy pulldowns. Be certain to warmup thoroughly i.e. 1/4th the weight for 4 times the reps, then 1/2 the weight for 2 times the reps, then the “meat” sets. “Super squats” by Randal Strossen PhD is phenomenal. The lower abs should be trained very first ie the 4 lobes of the rectus abdominus BELOW the naval. this helps prevent inguinal hernias and flattens the lumbar curve. Avoid situps and crunches as gravity will push you toward kyphosis free of charge. do some lunge stretching of the upper quads to keep the pelvic tilt normal.
Weightlifting helps because it automatically fulfills the “tense your muscles and then relax them” AND the “deep breathing.” Also a muscle trained hard, burns ten percent more calories for forty eight hours, and a pound of muscle burns 75 calories per day vs a pound of fat only two calories a day.
The biggy here is endorphins from training hard and dynorphins from really training hard. They WILL seriously boost your mood. I personally never got runners high” only runners pain in the ass, but whatever floats your boat is fine. Interval training is the quickest way to increase the heart’s volumetric capacity, just always warm down because it’s during the jog after the sprint that the heart is going nuts and is most vulnerable.
hope this helps. ALSO, don’t join a trixy and bubbles fitness center. Join the local f~~~ing dungeon gym. When they see you training hard and focused you will be respected. Also, the members that have brains know that everyone has to start somewhere, So do not sweat how light the weights are that you are currently using. it’s what you do with them that counts. A muscles strength is directly proportional to its cross sectional area and studies have proven that the quickest way to increase the cross sectional area is with free weights. don’t waste time on too many machines, maybe do 1 – 2 sets of a machine at most, AFTER you’ve hit the muscle with free weights from a couple of angles. Also, in general if the weight is moving in a straight line it is a compound movement which will build size.[[in years of lifting i’ve never witnessed anyone leave a gym upset”what’s the matter” “i put on too much size today”]] if moving in an arc, it’s fulcrum and should be done to stretch the muscle after the compound movement and done at a higher rep range [[min15-20]] due to the fact that the stress increases out toward the joint where you don’t have the correponding vasculature for the stress and recovery and less than 15 reps here will likely result in chronic tendonitis.
