it has been decriminalized in Canada.  Some police forces (London, Ontario for one) have decided to take matters into their own hands and post pictures of Johns on a web site to shame them.  So, they are still using public resources to find Johns, despite them not doing anything illegal, to give them a punishment without trial.  This was a couple years ago so hopefully they have stopped this nonsense but I doubt it.

Prostitution for consenting adults makes sense to me. Men want sex and women want money, so…what’s the problem? Prostitutes solve the problem of a man’s desire to get laid without having a committed relationship or spending time and money to “get to know” the woman they’re dating so she can feel comfortable enough to allow him to seduce her. Here’s how I think it should be regulated: personally, I don’t like to see streetwalkers because I don’t want kids exposed to that. I’d make a special districts that allow houses of prostitution (just like they do in Nevada). A guy walks in, does his business, and goes home. The church-going folks & kids walking home from school don’t have to be bothered with it because it’s out of sight. Each cat house should have a bouncer to get rid of guys who are violent and ruin s~~~ for everybody else. The more the merrier—because the prices go down with all that competition.

By the way, I challenge any woman to use the 77 cents on the dollar argument when it comes to male vs. female prostitutes.

The whole argument of that talk show guest is, if you read between the lines: “I’m too ugly to compete with legal prostitution; I’m just going to belly ache, and blindly regurgitate whatever stupidity I need to vilify it”. Who cares if it’s IMPOSSIBLE to get rid of, and the more difficulty involved with prostitutes plying their trade, the more dangerous the job ends up becoming.

If brothels were legal you could provide workplace security for the prostitutes, screen for STD’s, provide medical benefits, even sick days. But no no no!! Women would have to start treating men well if that happened! That would be incomprehensible!!!!
