I’ve been thinking about doing this a lot lately once I have my debt paid off and a few hundred thousand in my bank account.
Aside from gaming and a few anime, the “entertainment” most people get from TV, games, movies, and music don’t really “entertain” me anymore. Not to mention gaming is starting to be ruined by feminists as well.
I know if I do end up doing this at some point, I won’t miss any of the “entertainment” societies offer.
Honestly, the only thing I’d miss is porn if I decided to live this way.

I’ve been doing some research as far as living primitively goes. As far as I can tell, there are a lot of free yearly camp sites around the U.S. Before I do plan on doing this, I do want to do “trial runs” for a couple months before making any permanent decisions to live this way.
I also plan on living this way up in Alaska, most likely.
All I would need is basic survival tools, a durable tent, and a fishing permit. I’d basically be fishing and camping for the rest of my life. I’d also have emergency money put back in a savings/banking account in case of medical/dental emergencies.
But, this would eliminate my need for a house/apartment/car and I wouldn’t have to worry about paying taxes anymore either.
I’d be perfectly fine on my own as I don’t like being around people that much anyway. Most of the men I know are white knights/manginas and most of the women I know are tradcons/feminists.
So this would be an awesome life for me. It would also give a big “f~~~ you” to the government, corporations, and society as a whole who only value women.
A lot of people do year round camping. Some have contributed threads to this site (last summer if I recall). There are a number of YouTube videos about it, and at least one short documentary movie.
State campgrounds are cheap. Walmart parking lots are free (some not all, it isn’t permitted everywhere). The Walmart near me often has campers and big rigs spend the night there — smart marketing if you ask me!
Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?
Anonymous42Learn how to live in the outdoors, BY BUILDING A DURABLE STRUCTURE! Trusting your life to tent is a sure fire method to be attacked by a grizzly bear!
There’s hundreds of illustrated books on the subject of not only living in the wild, but thriving in the wild! You’ll need a heat source, look into a thermal mass rocket stove on U-tube, with other alternate ways of living, like generating electric power from any source of flowing or falling water. The ways of harnessing energy are mind boggling! Using energy stronger than manpower is the best way to survive!sounds like a good idea if you can survive and thrive in the cold
MGTOW is not a movement, it is a way of life.

State campgrounds would be ideal. I wouldn’t want to live near Walmart because I want to avoid people as much as possible.

I’d rather build my own structure than living in a tent honestly. And I’ll definitely lookup other heat sources such as thermal mass rocket stoves.
@Saver
I don’t mind the cold as long as I have something to keep me warm. If not Alaska, I was also thinking about doing this in Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, or Texas.
Hey Venom, I got a taste of primitive living when I landed a seasonal gig monitoring nesting bald eagles in Arizona. Those were the best months of my adult life!
The first nest I monitored was in the desert in Tonto Basin, where I lived in my tent for four months, starting in early February and ending in late May, watching the birds in shifts with a partner until the chicks fledged. We worked ten days on and two off, so we could venture back into town on our breaks. But after the first month I stopped going to town and stayed at the site. After the chicks fledged, I left the one-hundred degree heat to monitor another nest in the White Mountains, where the snow was only just melting away. That site was less remote, so I was able to convert my old construction van into a rough camper van.
The simplicity of living and working under those conditions was a dream come true for me. And the fact that I was working and not just vacationing (I’m a life-long backpacker) made it that much better. There were reports to write, meetings to attend, data to summarize — all the things you normally do at work, but you did them in the field.
My goal in life now is to build my own business that allows me to spend a significant amount of time living like this, and perhaps even do it permanently in years to come. And I’m almost there.
So good luck finding your way into this kind of life — either in a tent, in a camper or a rustic shelter — I highly recommend it!
@Hominid
That sounds awesome. I’d love to do something like that for a job. I’ve always loved the outdoors more than the city life which makes me want to do this even more.
I also love the benefits of doing this. Life is simpler. It’s silent as can be and you don’t have to worry about friends or family members causing drama and s~~~.
I found this guy on Youtube. He has some really great survival skills. This video is him showing how to build a primitive wattle and daub hut from scratch.
I’ve seen that video too, that guy is very inventive, pure awesomeness and respect there.
To get to your point, I have shared the same idea’s for a while. But checking out of society would mean to leave family and friends behind. You would have to be able to be alone, but not get lonely.
You could go for a camper and live of your money? But then what would you do all day besides improving your life standards and building a better home for yourself? Would you get a job? Would you live of your savings? What would be your end goal living life like this? Just chilling and surviving alone?
Like Tower said, you will definitely need a camper or wooden structure to survive the cold. If your tent is blown away or trashed by a bear, you could be in deep s~~~. You would also need to have basic medical knowledge, if you get bitten by a snake, get an infection or break a leg. Get a rifle, know how to fish or hunt animals first. Have you ever killed or skinned a deer? You would also need knowledge of how to build a house from scratch.
Also I would recommend having a sattelite telephone for if things go bad out in the wild.
By the way, have you seen the movie Into The Wild (2007)? It was my inspiration to seriously start considering this way of life. But even though i’m young, I don;t want to leave behind all the people I know. Plus I need to save more money first before doing this.
@The Skank Spanker
I’ve seen part of that movie but I’ve never seen all of it.. It was a great movie though from what I’ve seen. What inspired me to do this are movies like The Edge with Anthony Hopkins in it. Not to mention I grew up in a rural area .
I’ve never skinned a deer before, but I’ve seen multiple Youtube videos on it as well as seeing a few of my uncles showing me how to skin a deer when I was a kid.I’d be mostly fishing however if I were near any body of water because I prefer that over red meat.
As far as being lonely goes, I almost never get lonely if at all. Don’t get me wrong, I like hanging out with people, but I also wouldn’t care if I never saw anyone again. But, at best, I’m only going to live like this for about 2 months or so just to see if I can deal with that way of life.
For money, I’d save up to about $600,000 and only use that for medical/dental emergencies.
To survive in the cold, I’d look up a lot of videos as well as books on how to build a durable wooden shelter for the winter. For basic medical knowledge, I’d end up taking a few classes somewhere to learn how to deal with snake bites and the like.
I’d probably get a rifle just in case, but I’d rather get a bow and learn how to make my own arrows so I wouldn’t be dependent upon buying bullets.
As far as “what I’d be living my life for” it would be more like a challenge to see if I could actually do something like this. I feel more satisfaction knowing I can do more on my own than relying on others to do things for me.
Anonymous24Part 2 is on there as well. This guy, at 51, after doing the family thing and raising 4 kids, left for the woods of Alaska, built this cabin, and lived there for the most part until he was 82. He also served during WWII, and survived a bush plane crash that was pretty bad. F~~~ing pimp.

One must be 100% in tune with the surrounding environment.
Yes it’s all lovely etc but my training always defaults to the ‘what ifs’.
Cover all those and you only have the unexpected or under expected to take care of.
Nature is about balance …. and you maybe on the other side of that scale.
However ….. it’s always in my heart and soul.
A very big part of surviving in the wilderness is knowing the territory/mountain/whatever you’re planning to live on.
Knowing the plants and the wildlife.
It’s not mandatory to live primitive.I’m sure we can find other ways to live detached from this s~~~hole society, and still have a relatively modern lifestyle.
If i find some trick i’ll share it here.Oh, I know that. But at the very least I want to live primitive for some portion of my life. Maybe not “hardcore” primitive, but primitive like the guy @JoeBauers posted a video of.
If you find yourself in snow, you may find this handy, eskimo for instance build a home called “Иглу”.
The idea as I to just use snow blocks, inside of this snow home – fireplace makes the walls thaw/cover in ice, and that ice cover from inside makes the dome itself very durable.
(i cant survive for s~~~, i just find this interesting to share)
Anyway, Im sure you will find what helps you, there is clearly no limit on how simple or complex you can go, and which materials to use !-----------

Thanks, I’ll look into those as well.
I’d love it if I could live like that for even just a few months out of my life.
