After my first divorce (yes, I said after) my ex went on welfare with her bum 2nd husband. Now, our daughter had been injured by a drunk uninsured motorist and as a result there was about ten grand sitting in a trust account for my daughter. Of course, my ex was the guardian ad litem for the account. Keep in mind that she had to go through a judge to spend that money on anything, but the welfare department didn’t like it. Little did she realize. As a result of her being on welfare in a different county than me in California she was told by her case worker that I needed to come in for an evaluation or they couldn’t process her application for welfare. Well, I asked her what the f~~~ kind of evaluation they needed from me. I forget what she told me, but I ended up driving up to Long Beach on one of my weekends to see my daughter, and I went to the assistant DA’s office for this interview. I had read about the tactics outfits like this use and it was just what I expected. The office is small. She sits behind a big desk with room behind her while you sit across from her in a small, uncomfortable chair backed up against the wall. Well, I was so p~~~ed at the end of that interview I told my ex to never ask me to go there again. I would not. Long Beach county arranged to take my child support out of my paycheck at work. At the time, I worked at a shipyard. After three months I get a call from my ex. They took her off of welfare because of the trust account. She hadn’t even been getting child support. I had been sending the checks into the county as instructed while they processed the garnishment. So, I cancelled all the checks for the last three months and sent the balance minus the bank fees to the ex. Then, I landed a civil service job. Fast forward two years later and I get a notice that I’m $5000 in arrears in child support. My ex’s case worker ended up looking into it and told me that the case was so screwed up the only thing she could do was to delete us out of the system. Years ago when I read about a man killing his wife in a cruel cold-blooded fashion I used to think “Man, what a crazy A Hole!”.

I really don’t care what a bunch of talking heads and academics have to say about family court horrors. Everybody has known about it for 40 years. I don’t see any big legislative or judicial push to change any of it.

Women slaughter babies and strangle marriages and the law and the courts aid and abet this killing machine.
