A quote in another post by stealthMGTOW made me think of this and want to post it.

He mentioned that feminist society does not want prostitution legalized because less men would feel that they must fall in to the marriage trap.

In any case, it seems to me that the ubiquity of porn, though fueled by the overly sex focused society at large, is actually an enabling factor for the MGTOW movement.  This new focus and acceptance of sex everywhere doubtless has deep roots in the feminist movement.  On the other hand, I would guess that most feminists would love to marginalize the porn industry the same way the sex trade was in bygone decades.  Unfortunately, they can’t have their cake and eat it too.  If, in the age of the internet, they wish to have a sex obsessed male population for them to control they simply have to accept that online porn sites will be both profitable and commonplace.  If they somehow managed to pass legislation to block the majority of porn servers, a la China style net censorship, the servers would simply move counties and VPN’s would become part of every man’s toolkit.  This would not please the NSA one bit.

So, what we have is a catch 22 for the feminist movement.  They hate the fact that we can get sexual stimulus that women (other than those in the porn industry) have no control over.  However, they cannot go back to a sexually conservative society without expecting monogamy from women thus reducing their “freedom”.  What we end up with is a wonderful tool for releasing male tension and providing erotic entertainment to us males with few to no strings.  It isn’t even that much of a social stigma to admit the use of pornography any more.  Nor should it be since as we all know “everybody does it”.  In fact it is so destigmatized that when people ask me what I do with my spare time on the road, I tell them with a wink that I have broadband internet, a 32 inch monitor and a box of Kleenex.  Nearly everyone gets the joke and I have never been ostracized for it by any group of any demographic.

To summarize: No strings; outside of the control of the feminist lobbyists; and it is a simple low cost way to relieve male tension without buying into the games of any woman.  I think the porn industry may be the patron saint of the MGTOW movement.

It depends on how you want to look at things and from which perspective. Lets look at not Feminism but the side it predominately supports which is the Left which in turn promote a NWO type of world.

Prostitution would both keep birth rates down, generate taxes, add to the decay of society and make men and women more resentful of each other, especially women as they would be having sex for money with many men each day. So prostitution is something the Left and Feminists mostly support. When I say Feminists I’m talking the ones who make policy not little Miss perpetual college student.

Same with porn. Have you noticed how much social engineering is pushed via the entertainment industry, even porn? Again porn makes young females want to do depraved things to impress boys, in turn this adds to the hatred between the sexes and also adds to the decay of society. It generates taxes as well.

So lets now focus on Feminism itself.

Feminists are divided, but most support porn and the sex industry, many whores are Feminists and rampant Left Wingers. Prostitution allows women to make money off men without ever having to provide them anything but sex. No home making, no child rearing, just sex for money. Strippers can make even more money from men by simply teasing them with lap dances.

And then of course you have porn and webcam work, with webcam work a woman can perform solo and never have to even be in the same room as a man let alone f~~~ one.

Men are manipulated and exploited by the sex industry, the Feminists might occasionally make a big deal about it but for the most part they are very ok with what is happening which is why you don’t see any Feminazi’s protesting against Porn productions, strip joints etc.

Some very good points there morlock.  In fact some that I had not considered.  I actually meant to direct the conversation more towards porn than towards prostitution; but, I will admit I am very much in the camp of legalize it all (victim-less crimes such as prostitution and drugs) and tax the s~~~ out of it.  This has much more to do with my extremely individualistic beliefs than anything for or against feminism.  Though I tried to offer a bit of a tongue in cheek diatribe on the subject I do stand by the premise the cheap(free) and destigmatized porn is actually a boon to the MGTOW movement.  I am aware that sex drives (and visual cortex creativity) are different from one man to another.  Some men may be able to go without any erotic entertainment at all while others simply can’t go without the direct sexual attentions of a woman despite remaining solidly MTGOW.  I fall somewhere toward the middle of this scale.  If a clean attractive woman is throwing it at me for free, I am capable but unlikely of turning it down.  On the other hand, I just can’t be bothered to put any effort into the chase and so it is a rare occurrence indeed that I spend the night with any female companionship other than Rosy and the Five.  This being the case porn is a boon to me personally when it comes to avoiding unnecessary bulls~~~ and so from my objective standpoint it is a enabler for MGTOW.

From a political standpoint this may or may not be the case.  I personally don’t give a s~~~ about left wing right wing politics.  To me they are all crooks. However, the world does not revolve around my opinion so I admit there is a possibility of some hidden benefit to the feminist movement provided by porn.  I completely agree that the obsequiousness of porn HAS caused a higher proportion of women to be more promiscuous or at the very least more willing to experiment once sex has commenced.  This is good for the overall agenda of creating a society that is addicted to sex. Conversely, the MTGOW is just that: A Man.  Once one has reached the point of joining this forum, or one like it, they should already have at least tasted the red pill if not swallowed em down like skittles.  Once you fully understand the game from the female’s perspective it no longer has any hold on you.

So, I agree that the porn industry and its indirect influences have a negative effect on the ability of a man to break his conditioning and join the MTGOW side.  However, I propose that once a man is thoroughly entrenched on the light side free porn becomes a boon to the individual.

I don’t consider drugs to be victimless but that is for another thread.

Prostitution isn’t victimless either, even in Australia where it’s legal you still have illegal brothels with women who are being forced to work in them. It’s a big topic anyway.

Back on the main topic. When I was a kid, porn for me was magazines that just featured naked women, I still remember the day I found my dad’s stash in the garage I would have been about 8. I do agree if men can masturbate then that is much better than them chasing women and wasting their time etc. I always avoided chasing girls when I was younger as I was fearful of the drama and bulls~~~ as well as being pretty quiet. So I have used escorts and brothels myself as well as porn obviously.

I have turned down women who have practically offered themselves and sometimes directly offered themselves to me. Again I weigh up possible trouble with what the pleasure might be worth and the part of me that likes my life to be peaceful tends to win over the part that might have wanted to have sex.

In the end if a man or MGTOW is going to watch porn or use a brothel, or even see strippers, I think it is important that he is aware of what is happening to avoid being manipulated and/or spending more money than he has to in the case of strippers especially.

As I have mentioned elsewhere, women only have as much power as we give them. If we are aware of what is happening, aware of the game and the nature of women then we can take that power back even if we are in a strip club where near naked women are approaching us being friendly and asking if we want lap dances.

I’ve ranted a little here but porn definitely is the cheaper and better alternative. Also it is intstant you don’t have to wait for the club to open or get there or anything else, you get horny, masturbate and cum and then your mind is clear again. So I do agree that porn can be a liberator if the man is aware of the game being played.

I somewhat disagree. Playboys were one thing. VHS and DVD another. But the internet porn is dangerous. It is dangerous because it is unlimited in both scope and quantity. It is there whenever you want it, but it can also take over your life. It can reduce your ability to find a real partner and do the deed in real life. It releases a flood of dopamine similar to cocaine. The porn itself is one thing, the unlimited nature of the internet is what makes it dangerous.

You have made some excellent points, Morlock. I eschew porno and strip clubs, because I do not enjoy getting blue b~~~~. If it’s not real, and I can’t have it then I don’t like being teased. I’m damn sure not going to pay to get teased.

There is an addictive quality to them too which is why the two industries make so much money. Porno also teaches people to have unrealistic expectations about sex both men and especially women. Interest by a woman in porn and strip clubs is a huge red flag in my personal experience.

Feminists get split over the nature of porn.  On the one hand, they want women to do whatever they want with their bodies.  They will do topless walks to battle what they see as “slutshaming”.  On the other hand, they see porn as women turning themselves into sex objects for me, so they get upset.  From a perspective of gynocentrism, if men can go off and look at things and get their sex needs met, then the men get freed up of women, and that part of gynocentrism, so the gynocentric feminist will lose power as men go away.  But, now they say “female identity” as the push for gynoncetric feminism, they will push for liberation of any object that apparently has a female identity also, and demand the object in question, whether a picture or a computer program or even a doll or toy, not be objectified.  The gynocentric feminist need men to be subservient to their control of the world, and not opt out.

The porn industry is the clash between female imagination and male reality. Women want to over value their sexual value by restricting their bodies from men but then hate the fact that women love to sell their bodies and profit from it. It’s a laughable scenario.

I have discovered a truly remarkable list of reasons why women are not necessary for a happy life, but alas this margin is too small to contain it.

Failing to see the down side. I guess it depends on what level of MGTOW you are.
