A growing problem for people who like to do internet shopping is: people stealing packages on front door steps.

I can think of a couple of solutions to this problem:

    1. Build a large “mailbox” for packages. It can be rigged so the door automatically locks after the package is placed inside. Or the package can move on an automatic conveyor belt to a safe location.

    2. Start a business that charges a fee for accepting and storing packages. People who are at work will no longer have to worry about packages sitting on their doorsteps all day, vulnerable to thieves.

I used to have a job delivering packages from stores and businesses. Whenever I’d drive to rich people’s neighborhoods, there was usually someone in the house to sign for the package. One house had a private security guard (in a security booth) to accept packages. That was cool. The owner of the house never had to deal with door to door salespeople and other riff raff.

I found a couple of interesting videos. I wish someone had a video of a guard dog biting a porch pirate. That would make my day.

This is just a package, still a petty crime, but divorce rape causing male suicide….no words to describe.

    “just a package”

You say that having no clue exactly what is inside peoples’ packages, how critical of an item or items that could be for someone with medical issues or a critical part to keep a vital machine working, or whatever.

The repercussions of divorce rape are staggering and need no comparisons. You don’t need to minimize one type of crime to maximize the other.

Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

    Suggestions for a bait package:

    1. A box with rattlesnakes.

    2. A box with a stink bomb.

    3. A box with cactus leaves.

    GPS tracking? Naw.

IEDs are a more effective, permanent, darwinian solution.

If I had a recurring problem like that, I would definitely bait the thieves. When they open the box…Surpise, Exploding Muriatic Acid all over the place. Hehehe…

I’d boobytrap the porch so that when the package gets picked up, a trapdoor opens and they fall into a cell in which they are trapped.

That is possible with my house, which has a cinderblock room under the porch.

It’d be much more fun to have them trapped in a sound-proofed cell. So many options.

Also, so much potential for science experiments.

All my life I've had doubts about who I am, where I belonged. Now I'm like the arrow that springs from the bow. No hesitation, no doubts. The path is clear. And what are you? Alive. Personally, I would booby trap with a massive squirt of permanent ink which would hit the face. And some powerful itching powder to go along with it.

Comparing the theft of personal mail, Which is a Federal Crime, is it not? to divorce rape, which is not against federal or provincial/state law, and actually supported by the “state” is highly disingenuous and an invalid comparison.
The only things they have in common is the theft of property that the thieves have convinced themselves they have a “right” to, and suffer no real consequence when caught.

Yes, it is “just” a package. However it is not “their” package. They didn’t pay for it.
The word “just”, which is a derivative of the word JUSTICE, is misused to minimize the intent, act, and lasting negative effects of any action.
Not so long ago, thieves of every stripe were punished for their crimes. Now society just pats them on the head, and sends them on their merry way with the proceeds of their ill gotten gains.

There was a time in my life when I gave a fuck. Now you have to pay ME for it

I recall reading of a US man who got so tired of repeated burglaries that he booby-trapped a vacuum cleaner.

Commercial high explosive in the dust bag, set to detonate when it was switched on.

It was duly stolen, but no explosion was ever reported in the press.

Lets hope that the associated video footage was used against these would be robbers to get them into the system.

Just another example of folks thinking that it is their right to do what they want, whenever they want with absolutely no consequence for their actions.

Else, you have to begin “securing” those external resources you need to Go Your Own Way.

Watch those videos and read those news reports then tell me again about how Amazon is going to deliver the stuff your order by drone.

Do not date. Do not impregnate. Do not co-habitate. Above all, do not marry. Reclaim and never again surrender your personal sovereignty.

If Amazon had local pick up stations, I’d do that (’cause I don’t trust some my neighbors).
