So I just saw a news story on our local CTV station (Toronto) about a 17 year old guy who bought expensive flowers, a horse-drawn carriage(or whatever they’re called), and I can only imagine what else to get his girlfriend to agree to go to prom with him. Jeez, just think of all the other expenses he’s gonna have day of. She said yes, of course. But the biggest red flag I noticed was when they interviewed her friends, and they said that she enjoys lavish things. So I thought “This poor bastard is screwed”. I can only imagine how deep in debt he’ll eventually be if he decides to marry her, which, seeing as how they’ve been together for 2 years, seems pretty likely. I would have never noticed any of this had I not been taking the red pill. Sad to say, I might have even done this myself if I had a steady girlfriend to take to prom during my senior year. Any thoughts, guys?

I would laugh even harder if it turns out they’ve been together for so long and he still hasn’t had sex with her (although that’s unlikely) because she’s “waiting for the right time” or some other bullcrap. She already knows what the right time is, and it’s not when he’s around. Again, that’s IF they haven’t gotten down and dirty yet.

I always thought homecoming and prom were a big waste of money. I didn’t go to either of mine. Much like a wedding/marriage you are expected to spend all kinds of money for implied pussy.
I feel sorry for this guy because even if he doesn’t get laid, he’ll honestly feel that HE didn’t do enough to make the evening special. He is too young to realize how much the deck is stacked against him.
The c~~~s love the attention and drama and already know the expectations and whether or not they are going to fulfill them.
I think events like Homecoming and Prom are big s~~~ tests and they are designed to see how likely a guy is to be marriage material.

Yeah, I never went either. I’m just saying that had I, I would’ve likely wanted to do something similar if I had a girlfriend. And Uchi, I think it already has. I mean, can you imagine how much renting that carriage must have been? Not to mention whatever else she might want to make the night “special”? I would think that at least he’s going to buy her even more expensive flowers, and either rent that carriage again or the standard limo for the night. And like I mentioned, her friends said she likes extravagant things so God only knows what else he’ll have to spend.
