The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario passed a motion at its annual meeting last week calling on all school districts in Ontario to rename schools and buildings named after Sir John A. Macdonald.

The union says it wants the name change because of what it calls Macdonald’s role as the “architect of genocide against Indigenous Peoples.”

Macdonald was prime minister during the time the federal government approved the first residential schools in the country.

So now Canada’s first Prime Minister has become a target of the SJWs. Apparently a role in setting up an education system is considered “genocide”.

I blame all of this on the Americans. The Canadians see what the grown-ups are doing and they want to imitate them…

I think of it more as a race. Who can destroy their history and future the fastest. UK has us all beat by years.

Do not blame this on Americans. It is Europeans being behind feminism, political tyranny, and censorship being created in the U.S. as a way to destroy the U.S. from within.

Look up history. All the socialism, fascism, communism, anarchism beliefs are from Europe.

I have never viewed it that way. I just took it as hollywood’s lifestyle becoming as a disease, spreading that way. I will look for some articles, but if you want to share any, I would gladly read them.

I believe you. It is a close race, and one that I wish we never started.

How dare you call us grown ups! I’ve lived in America all my life and the older I get the less grownup behavior I observe. Is that senator from Missouri that wants Trump assassinated a grownup? F~~~ no. She’s a little girl with a whiny attitude and too much power under her skanky ass. We have no grownups in America anymore. The kids are running the candystore now.

Absolute B.S. Even if John A was SOLELY responsible for residential schools, which he is not, we shouldn’t erase our history, even the negative parts, or we will be doomed to repeat it. I like the old Scottish SOB and I will be p~~~ed if they change anything named after him.

I’ve been saying for a while now that Sweden is the canary in the coalmine for the rest of Europe.

Listening to the CBC Radio Canada today, it was reported that the Canadian Ontario Teachers Union claims that an elementary school named after ‘Sir John A. Macdonald’ is an UNSAFE SPACE for certain students.

I dunno. Maybe they’re worried about the Northwest Rebellion breaking out again in the lunch room…

Indeed. People forget that what we consider politically incorrect today was ethical and moral one hundred and fifty years ago.

Countless Japanese-Canadian civilians were interned in Canada during WWII under the rule of Liberal Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King. Why haven’t the Libtards been screaming about that???

Beginning after the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and lasting until 1949 (four years after World War II had ended), Canadians of Japanese heritage were removed from their homes and businesses and sent to internment camps in the B.C. interior, and to farms and internment camps across Canada.[2] The Canadian government shut down all Japanese-language newspapers, took possession of businesses and personal property. In order to fund internment, property belonging to Japanese Canadians was sold, including fishing boats, motor vehicles, houses, and personal belongings.
