Just an odd thought and observation.

I presume most of you know about the general discrimination against men that the Gynnocracy tries to pull in public spaces in general particularly anywhere children might be. Broad showing of dislike by woman in general and at the worst police called on innocent men for just sitting in a public park and what not.

Well now thanks to Pokemon GO many of these public space that women had all to themselves have been “invaded” by so many men that any resistance to there presence is immediately overwhelmed. I just had to laugh seeing some of it. And all this done by people who didn’t even notice that they had taken over little snowflake’s safe space. They make jokes about it but for the most part they just accept that it happened, and Nintendo made bank on it.

So I will say that I think the game has had a positive effect on the freedom to use public spaces.
And that was my odd bit of amusement for the day.

Jeez…Pokémon Go. That’s all anybody is talking about these days. But your right, and that’s how to beat them… “overwhelm” them. I will never know the joys of Pokémon Go because I don’t use cellphones, but I like it now!!!

Oh it’s much worse than that if you’re a woman. Not only have all these men invaded their yoga classes and pilates and whatnot, but they’ve done so in pursuit of pikachus and magikarp, not the laydeez. Time was when men would go down to the local park etc. to meet women. What does it say about the attractiveness of women that they can’t entice men into these spaces any more but virtual monsters used in imaginary c~~~fights can?

Yes, it’s brilliant! Lots of boys and (young) men walking around, looking here and there, but NOT for women! No, we’re on the prowl for a pikachu, scyther or charizard, and they can’t handle that, so they immediately start shaming us and saying that pokemon go is for children. Hahahahaha! 😀

Besides, it’s a great game. It forces people to go outside and walk/bike around, even more so when you have eggs that needs hatching.

Good observation! I never thought of it that way.

good post and it just shows how little men need women to have a good time.

But I think they are setting up Pokémon meeting locations at certain places (like coffee shops I think) so once women realise they are being ignored they will start trying to muscle into these locations

I’m not a fan of Pokemon Go but if it takes attention and resources away from trollops, I welcome it!

Except it won’t last long. Women will fully engage this pokemon go thing (they already are) and ruin it.

It’s going to be interesting when property owners start getting upset about the virtual content Nintendo, or the next company, has assigned to their private property. Just as an example, my kids were pointing out that the local church was a pokemon ‘gym’. What if the church doesn’t want to be a ‘gym’? What happens when someone comes out with a porn app that let’s you capture ‘Debbie Double Ds” at the local daycare center? There will be lawsuits.

Of course, the reverse will happen to. Companies will pay big money just to have a the newest pokemon at their location(s)…or whatever.

Aside: Went to restaurant last night and they were having a special on “pokemon shots”. My 10 year old daughter, not knowing what a shot was, asked if she could get one.

    Ok. Then do it.

The only women I see playing this are with their boyfriends.

I made a new friend yesterday playing it and he was trekking around looking for Pokemon like I was. We then started talking about nerdy movies and whatnot. Didn’t surprise me one bit that he and I got into talking about the new Star Wars and how we think the guy characters were awesome but Rey was annoying. It was awesome to actually HEAR another guy say that, LOL!

A lot of these guys share exactly the same things in common, and it’s even funnier hearing the younger players not be familiar with the first generation of games that came out about 20 years ago. This app is fun!

I wonder how many are going to get killed by not maintaining proper situational awareness.

It’s going to be interesting when property owners start getting upset about the virtual content Nintendo, or the next company, has assigned to their private property.

I’ve already seen the first sign saying: Keep out. This is a private wild pokemon preserve. Pokemon poachers will be shot on sight.

At least the store owner had a sense of humor.

Of course, the reverse will happen to. Companies will pay big money just to have a the newest pokemon at their location(s)…or whatever.

I kind of suspect that’s already happening. I would not be at all surprised if one of Nintendo’s revenue streams for this thing is companies like Starbucks or McDonalds or Toys R Us etc. sending Nintendo advertising dollars to have rare pokemon spawn at their locations to bring in customers.

Although, I stopped having anything to do with Pokemon about 16 years ago.

But I’m glad if it interferes with women and their discrimination against men in public spaces.

You have to admit though. That would be funny.

Once things become popular or trendy I tend to lose interest because I dont like walking with the herd. So I guess I wont be looking into pokemon.

does make me feel old knowing I was around and playing Pokémon Blue when it came out!

I have downloaded the app although I doubt I’ll use it much. Although it has pushed me to preorder Pokémon Moon for later in the year as I haven’t enjoyed a Pokémon game since Ruby (they are all pretty much the same game) so hopefully Moon will get me back into it
