    Pink Tax Repeal

Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.) yesterday reintroduced a bill to prohibit differential pricing of consumer products and services based solely on gender, known as the “pink tax.” The bill calls on the Federal Trade Commission and state attorney generals to address the practice.

Speier held up items, ranging from shirts to razors, during the news conference to point out that items marketed to women are often more expensive than the version marketed to men.

Rep. Tom Reed (R-N.Y.), a Ways and Means member, co-authored the legislation.

“I was just astonished that this actually occurs,” he said at the news conference. “These are the exact same products that are being offered to the American consumer. There’s nothing different than their color, and then their price is drastically separate and much higher for women.”

Manslation: Women are too stupid to look down the razor isle and see that the men’s razors are less expensive and buy them instead. Companies have know how stupid women are when it comes to spending and have taken advantage of their stupidity for decades. But women aren’t responsible enough to change their behavior for their own good, so we must protect them by law from their own stupidity.

One might conclude that women lack agency and shouldn’t vote.

As far as just the color being different, I find that a multicam color backpack costs more than the black version of the same identical backpack.

All my life I've had doubts about who I am, where I belonged. Now I'm like the arrow that springs from the bow. No hesitation, no doubts. The path is clear. And what are you? Alive. Everything else is negotiable. Women have rights; men have responsibilities; MGTOW have freedom. Marriage is for chumps. If someone stands in the way of true justice, you simply walk up behind them and stab them in the heart-R'as al Ghul.

Products made for women are often more expensive to manufacture than similar ones made for men. The fancy, rubberized, ergonomic handle on that pink razor costs more to mold than the hard plastic handle on a razor in the generic “bag-o-razors”. Clothing for women is often more complex to cut and sew than similar clothing for men. This sort of legislation is a waste of taxpayer money. They can direct the FTC and other agencies to “study” the matter, but I can’t see any of it being enforceable beyond that because different products are…. different.

Hell, before the price increased, I used to use “Mane and Tail” shampoo from the farm supply store because it was cheaper than “normal” shampoos. (Now, they’ve raised the price and it can be found in many grocery stores as “the original horse-to-human crossover shampoo”). Also used to make my own laundry detergent from Fels Naptha soap and washing soda. You don’t HAVE to buy overpriced, over-marketed crap.

Right. If you are making a men’s shirt, it’s pretty much straight from top to bottom. If you’re making a woman’s shirt it most likely has to have some extra fabric at a certain point in the front, then taper in for her waist (unless it’s plus size) and then usually flair out a little at the bottom. Not as easy to sew.

Then you have to overpay a Kardashian to wear it so the sheeple will want to buy it. That also adds to the cost.

Hell, I’m 6’5″ and have to wear “tall” shirts in most cases. Usually it’s an extra $5 for a few more inches of fabric. You can’t tell me that the little bit of extra fabric costs that much. And if it’s a coat it’s an extra $20 or more.

Where’s the legislation to protect me from those predatory pricing scams? Oh yeah, I’m a guy, no one gives a s~~~. Never mind.

I have never seen a woman forced to buy a single pne of these products.

Or forced to buy the ‘womans’ version of a product.

Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

Besides, this filthy c~~~ hasn’t figured out that women ARE our consumer based economy, which is why they HAVE to figure out ways to transfer wealth from those whom make it, to those whom spend it. Where’s that f~~~n life ending asteroid, anyway?
