Good lyrics. In my mind, “try to be perfect” means “try to satisfy the herd mentality.” Like the singer says, “I’m better off on my own.”

I love this song, certainly relate to the lyrics, that desire for people to simply understand that you know you’re better off without the traditional lifestyle of wife and kids.
