I did PUA s~~~ for a while; it definitely works, but it’s a numbers game. You have to put in the time. For me at least, it takes a hell of a lot of practice.

The cost is a lot of time/energy. And dealing with womens’ bulls~~~/drama.

The benefit is f~~~ing some girl.

I enjoy getting laid. At 22 that cost-benefit may’ve been worth it. But now I have more important ways to spend my time. Better to hire a pro, have fun for an hour or two, then get to more important things.

Amen to that. The only reason I considered becoming a PUA was because of Neil Strauss’ book. A guy who was a friend of mine at the time introduced me to the idea, since he apparently never got laid before and was getting desperate, and after reading the book I thought “this seems way too easy”. Like I mentioned, I wanted to try this s~~~ out, but never really followed through, not because I was MGTOW (that only started maybe a year ago) but because I was still afraid of rejection.

I don’t understand the Chad terminology. Most of the time that you use it you are insulting “Chad” and insisting he is an awful person.

I’ve had girls attracted to me pretty much my entire life. After passing puberty they got even more interested, and that continued into my 30s. But I’ve always been a nice guy, and I also can tell you that there is a lot of variation in women too. It’s not like it’s universal.

I can tell stories of being fawned over by genuine models, and then walking down a block and being insulted for being ugly by unattractive women. That’s just how things are. This society tries to convince everyone that all women are attracted to one type of man that doesn’t physically exist in this world, and that all other men are ugly and disgusting. They use women to feed into this, because women are too stupid to understand that, but men are heavily impacted by women, especially groups of women.

If you guys think this is what real PUA is about, you either didn’t pay attention, really know nothing about it, or have never actually been exposed to it and think it’s just some variation of these two guys:

Please don’t denigrate and insult something you clearly don’t understand. PUA as I came to know it isn ‘t about being someone you’re not, it’s about turning women’s hypergamy around and using it to get laid. Period.

I made some of the best friends through the community. Yes there are some douchebags. These are the guys that also don’t get it and think you’re supposed to become the Check brothers (see youtube above).

It’s about going out with a group of close friends and consciously taking turns being the “Alpha” or chad of the group in different venues. That way everyone gets a chance to appear chad-like in a social setting, which is where it counts the most for getting laid.

That said, some PUAs actually do choose to act out a different persona in the same mind set of a play actor or a street performer. I occasionally found that helpful because it allowed me to bypass some of my inherent insecurities and become the person I wanted to be rather than the nervous, geeky, insecure guy that I was at the time. It also helped a lot with rejection because I could easily dismiss it as rejecting the character I was playing rather than my true self.

To reiterate, you DO NOT need to become someone else to be successful at PUA. Some simply find that a helpful technique, and who are we to judge.

Above all, if you think PUA is about licking women’s boots to get laid, then you really, and I mean REALLY missed the whole point because absolutely the opposite is true.

I really don’t use it as an insult intentionally against Chad. It’s more about the stupid women. To me Chads are a simple window into the hamster. I have a few a good friends who are Chads. I study them as an anthropologist would. They are natural PUAs. I don’t have a problem with Chads, but if I had a daughter I would not want her involved with a Chad. The Chads I know are not nice so we are speaking of two different animals. One can be attractive to women w/o being a Chad.
