It’s a topic that comes up from time to time that I believe is important.

Do any of you use body cams to document your interactions with people, specifically women?

It might be beneficial to share your favorite model if you have one.

I am thinking about buying this one:

This is the smallest one I’ve seen that looks solid. It’s still a kickstarter but it’s already made its goal. It’s small, can record to both SD and to the cloud simultaneously. Has a big record button on the front. Records 2 – 2.5 hours. Can record longer with extender battery. Their web service can hold about 10 hours of vid which is probably way more than enough for a revolving video. If you need to keep something then just save it to a hard drive.

The only thing that I don’t like is there use of SJW videos to promote their product.

It can also double as a car cam.

Do you guys got any suggestions?

I video recorded my ex once and audio recorded her a few time. The trick is to make it seem you are doing it for another purpose, or it is not admissible in court. If you are, for instance, recording yourself singing a song, then that video and all that you capture is okay, as it just happened while you were recording. I used those recordings in court, and they helped.

I was told by a cop that if I’m in my house, I have to have post a notice that my house is under surveillance, which I have.

He also said there is nothing against the law with me recording in public.

It looks like you can get in trouble for recording conversations in certain states though.

If you have it on 24/7, yes. It is mandatory by law, for legal purposes. If you use it as recreation, than you do not have to.

In that same note, if you have a security system, you do not have to, as having the security system sign constitutes as that.

    Wow…absolutely wow…..do I laugh or do I cry…..what has society come to?

A tranquil mind is neither happy nor sad, it is uninfluenced by external conditions.

Don’t listen to cops about the law. Talk to a lawyer or look up the law yourself so you KNOW what it actually is.

Good point. I agree. The guy is my friend but yeah, he is only a cop.
