So I caught the tail end of the People’s Choice awards when I arrived at work and Big Bang Theory won favorite TV show. Can’t say I’m surprised.

The Children of Doom... Doom's Children. They told my lord the way to the Mountain of Power. They told him to throw down his sword and return to the Earth... Ha! Time enough for the Earth in the grave.

What a garbage mass marketed show. The reliance on the laugh track for completely horrible jokes is painful to listen to. Add an attractive girl and a couple typical aspiring beta male providers and you have a show.

Never get tired of quoting this whenever I hear the term “people

I find the show quite offensive.  It implies that everyone who’s well-educated and highly intelligent is socially inept.  I know people who are either or even both.  Some are complete dolts and others are quite decent.

In many respects, they’re not much different than anyone else.  They all breathe the same air and they all put on their socks one at a time.

TV makes you stupid. I can’t say this enough. It presents unrealistic people in unrealistic situations saying and doing unrealistic things with unrealistic results. Watch that stuff long enough and guess what your world view will become… yep, unrealistic.

Most television is not aligned with MGTOW principles. There are shows about how things are made, real people doing real things and historical non-fiction programs out there and those are fine if you can find them, record them and specifically choose to watch them for your own edification. Everything else, however, is crap and if you’re pouring that crap into your head for two to six hours a day then you deserve the results you’re going to get from it.

And speaking of Big Bang Theory saw a couple of episodes and I frankly don’t get why people love it so much. It stereotypes and makes fun of almost everything from sex, race, religion to professions..just another garbage like that overrated FRIENDS.

Once in an online game a French-Canadian chick who was in my guild asked me where I was from, when I told her I was from India she was “OMG!! I love BBT so much! Especially Raj. Can I call you Raj?“.
I said “Sure” “And I love the Looney Tunes Show. Especially Pepe Le Pew. Can I call you Pepe?” 😀

    No response. LOL.

Then she starts to lecture me on racial profiling “Not all French people smell bad you know

Sigh! Well at least she got the message.

    Docfenderson:

I avoid a lot of televised drivel by mainly watching movies on TV.  Thank goodness for channels like Turner Classic Movies!

OK, I admit that Sundays I watch what AMC has on.  I’m not a big fan of TWD, but it beats the dickens out of “Downton Abbey”.

I like the show. It’s not perfect, sure, but good enough to be worth watching. One of only a couple current major network shows I watch.

I think the show’s biggest flaw is that Penny isn’t a likeable character. She’s constantly sneering at the nerds for doing their nerdy things. Meanwhile, her life is a train wreck…broke, lousy job, drinking problem, a total failure as an aspiring actress, and when she’s not involved with Leonard, being used by an endless string of jerk boyfriends. So who in the hell is she to judge anyone else’s lifestyle and interests? Maybe the nerds have it right and she has it wrong, has she ever considered that?

It looks like that Cuoco chick forgot to thank her husband during the awards speech. Typical.

Friends definitely had a huge impact on ushering in this female focused TV era. I’m sure plenty of you guys remember In Living Color, Married with Children etc. These shows came out when Fox TV was just starting up. Can you imagine either show being allowed on air today? People would freak the f~~~ out. Back then they were a smash hit with a huge audience. Al Bundy was an extremely likeable character, and In Living Color didn’t shy away from poking fun at race relations without anybody calling Al Sharpton. Once I moved out on my own I stopped watching TV for the most part. I’ll never have a cable or satellite subscription.

awful show and as mentioned above – just a bunch of betas chasing a semi-attractive girl and looking like idiots…standard modern media

I watch a lot of older sci-fi like X-files, Star Trek, Babylon 5 and the only recent shows I have been watching are Breaking Bad which is excellent and am about to start on The Wire which I hear is really good

watch a lot of football (soccer) but even that has been infested with women now muscling in on what used to be an all male sport – no standing, no swearing, no drinking, no having fun now that the feminazis have got involved and gaming is going the same way unfortunately

You know back when it first started airing I watched a few episodes of Everybody Loves Raymond along with a few other sitcoms like Frasier, Just Shoot Me. It was like when you have nothing better to do on lazy winter evening type of thing. Then I found out it was all about Ray’s wife Debra p~~~ing all over his face, like a typical housewife and she got an Emmy for it. Stopped watching it after that and now I hear the show has a cult following, just like other retarded sitcoms. Its supposed to be a family show right? Is this what family shows are supposed to be like?

Skip to 14:17. A scene where Raymond’s wife Debra sexually assaults her husband is supposed to be funny? I bet she received another Emmy for this. Thats what sitcoms nowadays are teaching little kids, its okay for a woman to sexually abuse a man. Right?

Why her t~~~? Grabbing a woman by the crotch is a almost as painful and humiliating as grabbing a man. Perhaps men ought to start doing this to women who enjoy hurting men below the belt.

Once this warped chick who used to be in my Facebook friendslist posted a status update:

Last night while cuddling with my boyfriend I playfully kicked him in his crotch, he gave out a cute yelp and then he kicked me back in mine and boy that hurt! It hurt like hell! I’m never gonna kick anyone in their crotch ever again.

Hell yeah..Bitch! What goes around comes around!

I never thought I would like the big bang theory but it won me over, I really liked Lenard and Sheldons chemistry, They compliment each other perfectly and their characters are on point, I find both character’s relatable on a human level, The friendship they have is simular to my friendships in the sense im the crazy guy no one wants to be around and my friends are those guys that have the potential to be social butterflies but aren’t quite their for whatever reason,

I look way to much into t.v shows but what are you going to do ? that’s who I am,

I like the show. Sue me.

Someone in another post made an excellent point, Sheldon’s relationship with Amy is pretty damn good. They go by a strict contract agreement which is what EVERY relationship should have. And for the most part, they stick with that agreement. I have only seen a handful of times where Amy turns into a manipulating bitch trying to get Sheldon to touch/sex her, but I can forgive it because Sheldon always wins in the end.

Sheldon is a badass/real man. He says NO all the time, has no interest in sex, lives his own life and his bitch is bending backwards/begging to please him.

    Cost / Benefit analysis:
    * TV is not worth paying for.
    * It is not worth spending large blocks of time.
    * I prefer active entertainment: Passivity makes me feel bad.
    * Cable subscription money goes to people I do not want to support.

There are TV shows and movies I do like. The will be out on DVD soon enough. The money I save from one or two months of cable subscription will rent or buy a shelf full of DVDs.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?
