    My father (a veteran with 35 years service) is trying to get the government to pay for knee surgery, and is struggling because the money is being spent on “other priorities”.

    That’s f~~~ed! Yeah it’s being spent on billion dollar jets, million dollar missiles, several thousand dollar rifles, the welfare state and some fruitcake that wants to lose his peepee. Good luck 🙁

    So? If they aren’t happy with their gender reassigned, because the gender their body shows, why not offer the option Attack Helicopter? You could put it in with defense appropriations, and the vets would need to be on call in event of another incident overseas:

    Yes, gender reassignment would be paid out of defense appropriations.
