Soon you will be rated on an app online just like a restaraunt on Yelp.

Say goodbye to any semblance of privacy; coming to you in November. This s~~~ is worse than facebook.

This is just insane. Of course this was started by two women. Who else would even think of creating something so gossipy.

When the app launches, users will be able to review their friends, coworkers, and romantic partners — who may or may not have ever signed on to the app themselves — using a one- to five-star rating scale…...
In order to rate somebody, you need to join the app through Facebook using your real name, and you must be at least 21 years old. To review somebody else who is not on the app, you can create a profile for them with their cell phone number; they will be notified via text that they have been added to Peeple, but they won’t have an option to remove their profile from the app.

If you are not on Peeple yourself but others are rating you, then only positive reviews will be posted. If you have, in fact, registered, then negative reviews will be published, but only after 48 hours of being written so that you will have a chance to dispute them.

How the f~~~ can this be legal? Someone can create a profile for me and I CANT remove it?

    This is disgusting.

Oh and you gotta love this quote from the bitch who started it

Whether you love us or our concept or not,” a statement from them on the app’s website reads, “we still welcome everyone to explore this online village of love and abundance for all.”

Online village of LOVE AND ABUNDANCE for all? Wtf is this s~~~. Right because NOONE is going to post negative things about anyone.

I’m waiting for some of the guys to say they’re moving deeper into the woods. I feel like doing that myself.

Anyway, this is nothing new. It just becomes digital, whereas before it was analog word of mouth between your neighbors and acquaintances, now you just have to think as the whole globe as your neighborhood and that you have 7 Billion neighbors.

The answer is NO. “I could but I won’t”. Memini murum!

    What the f~~~?

The anti social element of social media just keeps rising higher up. I made a thread a while ago about how Yelp is an extortion scheme. And if these moronic creatures do get their wish then there will be a bunch of nut-wacko premies writing s~~~ about their teachers, professors, etc for failing a test. Or bitching about Joe and how he got someone’s best friends sister pregnant. Love and abundance? How about paranoid hatred? I have an argument with my neighbor over loud music and there pops a negative review. Then I write a negative review. And every little s~~~ at the party writes negative reviews about me and my future hypothetical gold digger wife (which can be a good thing… I digress) .

It’d be only a matter of time before the company starts texting you to sign up for 2.99/month to manage your ‘portfolio’.

Oh humanity. Finger f~~~ing privacy one brainwash at a time.

At least they have SOME safeguards against this

If you are not on Peeple yourself but others are rating you, then only positive reviews will be posted. If you have, in fact, registered, then negative reviews will be published,

But still, what if I dont want a profile at ALL? There so many narcisistic people now days anyway they will probably want a profile even if it has negative “reviews”. This is essentially made so everyone feels like they are a mini celebrity a la the kardashians.

So they think they can hold personally identifying information on people that have no desire or intent to be part of this little shindig and not end up with lawsuits? This thing will either turn into the world’s biggest echo chamber for women or they’ll get sued out of their ass on data protection grounds.

Anyone foolish enough to enter anything about me into this stupid service is going to have his or her ass sporting a brand new asshole. Let the lawsuits begin. I will gladly join any class action lawsuit brought against this company.

No way to remove yourself is kind of f~~~ed up IMHO.

“Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.” When did that become a GOOD thing?!? I grew up with that saying, which told us unequivocally, to keep them to ourselves. Why have humans become so stupid as to NOT understand this “golden rule”?

(gets some popcorn, ale, lawn chair and shade umbrella) Things are about to become VERY entertaining.

In my country, this would be illegal, so lawyer up is the preferred response. That said, it would be very convenient for me if people had a way of knowing in advance that I’ll most likely tell them to go f~~~ themselves.

It’s alot worse than the description makes it sound, the rating isn’t just a 5 stars, people can write anything about you in there too. In these dangerous times going ghost is the sanest choice. Seems wise to continue keeping as much of my information (including photos) as private as possible.

I hope they get sued into oblivion like Ashley Madison.

The article also makes it sound like the two t~~~’s designed the technology, but they probably didn’t do jack and got some simp to do it for them like they almost all do.

dont think so because if that was possible, then 4chan and 8chan would be sued. also you cant sue yelp for someone putting a bad review of you.

A bad review that can be sued as slanderous if it’s false. Rest assured, this will be a new disaster for YELP. Cyber bullying is going to abuse the s~~~ out of this, girls are going to destroy one another on this site.

This is just sick. What happened to our god-given right to privacy and solitude?

Luckily, there is a petition to ban this abomination. I didn’t hesitate to sign it at all.

Oh dear …. looks like another door is discovered down the rabbit hole.

There will come a point where truth and lie will become one big pile of …… blah.

You won’t know if you’re reading the truth, lies, bile …. and therefore won’t have a fking clue about the person.

The only way you will know anything about anyone? …… go ask them …. see how that works out.

Hell speak with them a few times …. maybe hangout ….. build trust ….. see what develops.

Now that would be a very good system I think.

Relax guys. It´s just another scam to research and control social dynamics. Information provided by the same f~~~tards that already treat their lives like it is worth a headline everyday on the cover of their personal newspaper fakebook. Just observe and pass the popcorn.

Since I hardly got anything to lose really, if anything I shall hold onto my future rating of zip stars (or one star or whatever it is defining the lowest) like it’s a badge of honor.

    Any more f~~~s given…?

    Anybody..?

I'd rather die a natual death with a clear MGTOW conscience somewhere off the grid than one within "modern" civilisation with a big stress mark on my forehead and a couple of dozen tubes plugged into my body. hasn’t people already rated the creators bad scoring, which made them go on tantrums, just to show the sheer irony, of the whole thing?

yop, indeed, she got upset people reviewed her, ahahaha.

It’s just another form of this:

Just as f~~~ed up, and it was removed by law in my country, so it’s possible it’ll be illegal here on several grounds.

MisterMetokur did a response to this. He has A LOT of good points here.

Another funny thing about this is that when a user on Twitter asked the two BITCHES that had this bright idea on where in the Canadian government they got their money from, they didn’t respond and called him a harasser. Of course, of f~~~ing course they’re women. This is completely expected.

Do these dumbasses not realize the potential for this app to be abused? Are they oblivious to that? Social justice warriors can go on this site and flame anyone they want as being a misogynist, racist, sexist transphobic c~~~. Anyone looking for a job could be f~~~ed over by this.

And these bitches are trying to censor the comments. Of course they are.

    This is all f~~~ing insane.

    Great find.

In one now-deleted Facebook post, Cordray asked: “Anyone know how to prevent people from posting on the comments on a company Facebook page? I know how to prevent people from posting on our page just not commenting on our posts.”

This is just dripping with irony. Offended by others reviewing her, which is precisely what shes promoting. Then she needs HELP deleting unwanted reviews lmao.

Below is her end response to all of the critics. These girls sound like they fell off some sparkly rainbow and are sharing tinkerbell dust with us. Just look at all of the flowery language she uses. Step back into reality weirdo.

An Ode to Courage: Innovators are often put down because people are scared and they don’t understand. We are bold innovators and sending big waves into motion and we will not apologize for that because we love you enough to give you this gift. We know you are amazing, special, and unique individuals and most likely would never shout that from the rooftops. The people who know you will though…they choose to be around you and in your life and support you even when you don’t like yourself. We have come so far as a society but in a digital world we are becoming so disconnected and lonely. You deserve better and to have more abundance, joy, and real authentic connections. You deserve to make better decisions with more information to protect your children and your biggest assets. You have worked so hard to get the reputation you have among the people that know you. As innovators we want to make your life better and have the opportunity to prove how great it feels to be loved by so many in a public space. We are a positivity app launching in November 2015. Whether you love us or our concept or not; we still welcome everyone to explore this online village of love and abundance for all.
