Republican Steve King (IA) suggests that if Mexico doesn’t pay for the boarder wall, that it should be paid for with all the entitlement benefits that is being used by people who don’t need them. I agree. Unless you’re disabled and can’t work, these people shouldn’t be collecting tax dollars for their personal gain. People need to stop using children or immigration as an excuse not to work for their money.

I don’t want to hear anyone ask or say “you want to take food and money away from poor starving families?” That’s bulls~~~! Working people make more money than those who don’t. If Mexicans know how to steal jobs away from Americans, then they should know how to support themselves and their 12 kids by themselves.

All we have to do is tax remittances on money that goes back to Mexico. Only have to build the wall one time. Paying for the wall is really the simplest thing to do

Agreed and would offer that the only issue would be that all those “fraud, waste and abuse” members of society who are not already considered disabled, will just trot down to the area medical clinic and become disabled.

There would of course be hell in congress as Mexico, current Mexican/Central & South american nationals, all the social justice organizations, the agricultural industry and the U.S. Banking industry would jump up and down. Yep the banking industry, they make lots and lots of easy money by doing the wire transfers.

I would question the resolve of our elected officials on passing legislation for stripping entitlements to pay for the Border Wall, when they can’t even get their act in gear to pass legislation on the Affordable Care Act. This is something that impacts people in every state/district and territory in the U.S. and they are twiddling their thumbs, no way that they would get together to gather enough votes for this legislation.

Oklahoma is already doing this and has paved the way in developing the process. The only thing missing are elected officials who have a backbone and the will to stand up to pressure so that national legislation can be created and passed.

As to Mexico providing that funding, the campaign said this could happen through higher visa fees or a tax on remittances. The latter is long overdue regardless and already in place in Oklahoma, which taxes all personal out-of-state wire transfers but refunds 100 percent of the tax to those who file their annual tax returns, thus levying the tax only on illegal aliens. A national version of this fully refundable payment would be a fitting way of making illegal aliens help pay for immigration enforcement.
