Papa John’s slams NFL leadership for lackluster pizza sales as shares sink more than 10%

Papa John’s said the league and its leadership “hurt” the company by not resolving the player protests that have been taking place during the National Anthem.
The company said that the combination of declining NFL viewership and negative consumer sentiment associated with the league caused sales in the third quarter to slump.
Papa John’s has been the official pizza sponsor for the NFL since 2010

——–business with close NFL ties taking a hit. Beer, Sports clothing, Pizza. A lesson these people all are getting in politics.

John is a dumbass in not reading the environment in which his business revolves.

The idiots forget, the people who spend money are the people that actually work. Businesses should pander to those that have the money.

I’m under the belief that the bowel movement matters people are more inclined to stay at home and thug throughout the day, and would rather spend on junky wheels, teeth, and the like.

Maybe if he had distanced his company from the get-go…

Absolutely and not diversifying is the real issue. I have no clue how much a slice of pizza might be at an NFL game, but you know that it’s better to eat/drink prior to going to the game. The food and beverages are cheaper and of better quality that anything you can get at the game. Same goes for anything you find at a Mall or Airport food court.

I love Papa John’s pizza, especially that garlic butter you put on top. I’m going to be buying pizzas for New Year’s Eve. I don’t care about the NFL. I eat Papa John’s for the pizza and garlic butter, not the NFL.

Don’t have one where i’m at. We’re stuck with Dominoes and Pizza Hut. Given the options, Pizza Hut wins every time.

Class action all of the vendors that are or have lost money due to the ongoing event. Even states could get in on the action lost taxes. Something interesting to find out about.

Anyone interested in a politically driven pizza war?

Apparently you have liberals rallying to Little Caesars because the owner happened to end up paying Rosa Park’s rent one month, because she needed help:

Well if we know anything about the current climate, anything that is far left and anti-Trump always ends up failing. Pizza Hut and Digiorno are about to learn the hard way. The NFL is going down big time. I read earlier today that Kaepernicks lawyers expect Kaep to be signed to a team within 10 days.

Whatever team signs him, will see record low attendance. Kaep destroyed the league. He’s to toxic, nobody would dare touch him. Hell, the Texans and the Colts just lost their franchise quarterbacks and STILL nobody called Kaep. That should say something.

I dont’ reallyseeliber a ls buying that many pizzas, after all it has meat and cheese on it which are a crime in their eyes.
Pizza Hut and DiGiorno should know better then to get into something that might p~~~ off people who buy the product it sells.
