For f~~~s sake! Now the winging bitches want to take paid leave from work every time they have the painters in. This would be in addition to their annual allowance of paid sick leave.

    http://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/health/health-problems/paid-menstrual-leave-is-now-a-thing/news-story/0fdfa3c4266a3fe6175a8c06c44da5f3

    I like this bit;
“In the past any proposal to allow women to have time off at menstruation has been derided by men and women alike,” she said.

“In this context menstruation is seen as a liability or a problem. Or as women getting ‘special treatment’.”

Of course it is special treatment you idiot! Would a man be able to take paid time off work every month because he was hung over? No he would not. And would the wimin who grit their teeth and get on with the job get the same entitlement? No. It is only for the fragile little princesses who can’t take it.

“Bristol-based Coexist employs 31 staff, including seven men”

So, a work force of 24 wimin and 7 men. Must be a f~~~ing nightmare working there! Its a well known phenomena that groups of wimin will synchronize their menstrual cycle ( they can’t even do that independently ) so this company would be faced with 24 of its 31 staff having 3-5 days off at the same time every month and paying them for the privilege. And the boss of the company thinks this is an “asset”? F~~~ me, what have you been giving that hamster, crystal meth?

I have looked into the company, Coexist and it is a not for profit collective of arty farty c~~~s in Bristol, UK which includes such “diverse” clients as painters, street artists and clowns. All absolutely essential then. It would be interesting if a real company operating in the real world where they had to make real profits to satisfy real stockholders and pay real taxes would think it an asset that over 77% of it’s workforce would just f~~~ off for a week every month on full wages.

    And as an aside, just look at the title of the article;

“Paid menstrual leave is now a thing”

What the f~~~ is that? “now a thing” Is calling something a thing now a thing? This c~~~ is supposed to be a journalist, they are supposed to be able to use the language correctly to convey sometimes abstract and esoteric concepts, and this is the best they can come up with?

    I f~~~ing despair sometimes, I really do….

Unpopular opinion here, but I even thought it was bad enough that they get 4 months off paid leave for having a kid.

TWO of my co-workers (one of which manages this whole place) got off for about 4 MONTHS paid leave, while the other one is off for 3 and will be returning next month. Another lady is out for surgery on her hip, but she’s older so it’s a tad more understandable. She’ll make it another 5 years before she retires and she isn’t going to be having any more kids.

We had another guy out on surgery on his ankle as well (yes, 4 people absent) at the beginning of this year. He was gone for…a FULL WEEK. Even gone that long, people were wondering “when the heck is he going to come back!?” So HE is expected to come back after being put out for an injury because the university hates paying for it, but it’s completely okay for a woman to be out for a 1/4 to 1/3 of a YEAR…ALL PAID.

I’m sorry, but the whole thing annoys me.

What if men got off the same amount of time to take care of their wives/girlfriends and their soon-to-be child? Call it…paternity leave?

Damn @spacemonkey you beat me to it. Just saw this load of horses~~~.

So now that we’re all about equality, do i get an equitable amount of time off that’s labeled something neutral like “Biological Leave”? So when my muscles are especially sore from the gym, i don’t have to get to the office.

I really home some asshole does this s~~~ in the US. The company gets sued for discriminating against men, the suit goes to the supreme court, and the supreme court does the right thing.

    Sigh. Yes. I’m dreaming.

Apparently some companies in APAC offer a similar option, per this article:

That’s f~~~ all. In UK they get 12 weeks maternity leave followed by 40 weeks of additional which can be shared between the mother and father. Its called shared parental leave and is at full pay.

Oh, but I mis-spoke. I apologies for saying “mother and father” when I should have said partners. It also applies to adopting a child, you still get the same leave entitlement. So a post operative transgender woman and a pre transition lesbian gender fluid entity can adopt a child from Africa and still get 52 weeks leave between them. On full pay. Good, isn’t it?

Just saw this in the Toronto Star. What a stupid idea. The UK really is going to hell.

“In this context menstruation is seen as a liability or a problem. Or as women getting ‘special treatment’.”

It is and it’s disgusting and we’re sick of hearing about it. It’s not a badge of honor either.

This is why men should not hire any women in their companies because on top of everything else stupid they’ve come up with, you now have this garbage.

As allways, women are pushing and screaming for more.

One of this days they will want money BECAUSE VAGINA.

Oh, sorry, they already expect a men’s salary for a half ass job.

    So, they are already there.

So women finally thought of the best reason to never to hire one. That’s like a man expecting a paycheck for being constipated. Just reading this s~~~ is painful enough.

B,b,but I thought their menstruating didn’t have an effect on their ability to carry out their jobs and it was just yet another “myth” perpetuated by the patriarchy to keep women down?

@Governor Megachris, Not unpopular at all. I too thought the maternity leave for women was bulls~~~. There are women in third world countries who work in the fields, go behind some shrubs and give birth and then are back to tilling the soil or harvesting crops.

Feminism isn't about equality with men, it's about leverage over men.

No wonder there’s a thing called “affirmative action” seriously, who’d wanna hire a woman? Nothing but trouble, low performance, high demand, how in the hell they have the spine to cry out “wage gap” EVER?

I’m just wondering if I go full SJW-retard and start sexually identifying as a woman, if I can get days off work over “my menstrual cycle” you know, genders being a social construct and everything…

I don’t wanna live on this planet any more.

Remember that episode of South Park where the mayor’s bodyguards come out to talk to the press about where she’s been for the past few days (think it was the episode about the firework snake)?

Everybody’s wondering why she hasn’t come out to answer questions over what needs to be done. So finally her bodyguards come out and say, “She’s having her period.”

Judging by this new law, the UK have just demonstrated what South Park already implied – this is why women don’t deserve to be leaders. Suppose Hilary gets into office come election. What’s going to happen when some crisis is going on? Is she going to refuse to address it because she’s on the rag and, by law, that means that she’s entitled to a week off from her job?

I, for one, think it is a great idea! Having a bitch for a boss is one thing, but you can just tell when she’s on her period and in full-on über bitch mode, itching to rip your b~~~~ off and shove them down your throat at the drop of a hatpin. Of course, I also happen to think that they shouldn’t get paid for taking time off over something so trivial. I guess that makes me a misogynist?
