Yes, the same province that brought you “Educating 6 year olds in sex education/gender identity” brings you this crap. I’m not sure who’s doing their definition of “violence”, but the only close to violent one I see is the guy trying to bed the drunk passed out girl at the party. The guy spiking the girl’s drink maybe, but after that study Keymaster frequently cites about roofies in the UK, I’m skeptical of whoever is doing their numbers.

For some pure cringe-worthy reading, take a look at the comments. The first one there is the most rational person I’ve seen on a topic like this:

“Depicting sexual harassment as the result of a “culture of misogyny” is an insult to every man and boy in Canada.

It is also reflective of a misandrist attitude on the part of the premier of Ontario.

Women are just as capable as men of taking part in sexual harassment, both as perpetrators and as people who make false claims.

There is no gender which has a monopoly on sexual harassment.”

    Cue the feminazi brigade:

“Finally a woman with the courage to speak the truth, Kathleen Wynne!!

You are part of the problem because men like you refuse to face the truth about the reality of rape and sexual assault on women and girls in this country and around the world.

Rapes and other sexual crimes perpetrated on females are almost 100% committed by males.”

And divorces that rob men of their life, money, and children and even drive them to suicide are almost 100% committed by females. What’s your point?

“Sure it does, but women have been suffering sexual violence at a faster and higher rate than men so it makes sense to focus on that.”

Right, I forgot we’re disposable. My bad.

Get a load of this gem:

“We are excluding men from being victims of rape and sexual assault because if it happens at all it is rare. ”

Cool. If you don’t care about my issues or struggles, I’m way less inclined to care about yours.

“@RedTortoise76 your post is bull. and you clearly have issues , I assume you use a fake name so no one warns girls about your acceptance of rape culture ?”

Clearly has issues? I swear this commenter lifted that one right out of the shaming tactics article on this page.

    Your guys’ thoughts?

It reminds me of the mandatory sexual harassment seminar held at the post-secondary institution I used to teach at.  All the male staff were required to attend and, as it turned out, it was a complete waste of time.  The whole thing could have been summed up as:  “Use your head.  Don’t do anything stupid.”

On top of that, she wasn’t interested in hearing about things the other way around.  I guess she thought that women would never use underhanded techniques for getting special favours.  (So the hairstylists I used to go to for my haircuts dressed like tarts by accident?  Uh huh…..)

My favorite thing was a picture of a woman holding a sign that says “I need feminism because my college gives me rape prevention tips, rather than telling men not to rape.”

Yeah, because I’m sure if we just put up a big sign that said PLEASE DON’T RAPE PEOPLE someone would be like “Oh s~~~, DON’T rape people? S~~~, I’ve been doing it wrong all these years. That was a close one!”

“Don’t rape people.  Check.  Good to know.  Does it say anything about not raping women?”

    Turnabout is fair play.
