Simple. Women are narcissistic and hold themselves and everything they do in high regard. 80% of women think they are above average, and that they are in fact worthy of the top 20% of men. Basically women are delusional and full of themselves and think the world revolves around them. This is something I think we all know.

I’ve often quoted the same statistic here. What’s significant from the OK Cupid study is that on a 0 to 5 scale ranging from 0 (meaning not sexually attractive at all) to 5 (meaning very sexually attractive) men scored the average women a 2.5 (an equal distribution). Women scored the average man a 1 with 25% a complete zero.
The average woman thinks the average man is well beneath her. And they call us men superficial?

I see Okc to be just another worn-out dating site where time and again whenever I signed up (intermittently after months long hiatus) 40-50% profiles would be the same women. Only additional bits were ‘not looking for hook-ups’, ‘tired of jerks’, ‘serious men only’, and my favorite ‘no time for games, I got 2 beautiful children that mean the world to me’. LMAO.

Online dating has run its course. Now its all about casual-f~~~ from Tinder right after morning tea and before afternoon nap time. And sometimes followed by a doctor’s visit for burning when peeing.

As always the young women get to inflate their egos so it can slowly deflate as the c~~~ count and years start to accumulate with the weight, wrinkles, and desperation in her eyes.

While that may be true, you can’t honestly make that claim based on the data available. There’s a huge potential for selection bias with polls like this. It’s almost guaranteed the data will be skewed.

You have to understand that the women you find in online dating are not a valid sample spanning the range of women at large. Far from it, the women in online dating are the absolute bottom of the barrel. If they had any chance of getting a man anywhere in real life they wouldn’t be resorting to online dating. And given the huge number of pathetic, thirsty blue pill simps out there (though that number is shrinking daily as more and more men silently Go Their Own Way), if a woman has to resort to online dating then she must be truly awful indeed.

Ridiculous, unrealistic, selfish expectations of men could be a large part of why the women in online dating are unf~~~able and incapable of finding a man in real life.

Avoid women in online dating like the plague, definitely, but at 51% of the world’s population at large, avoiding women entirely takes too much effort. Plus it has the potential to backfire and attract unwanted attention from them. Just make sure never to give them anything and you’ll be fine.

You make some valid points, though a lot of the OK Cupid study results matches studies of the female population in general. An example is the finding that over half of women who claim to be straight have sex with other women or would like to.
I never meant to imply that men should avoid all contact with women. That would be highly impracticable, if not impossible. It would be more correct to say avoid exploitative romantic relationships with women.

Well that’s to be expected, because they are still women. It’s the difference between looking at a subset versus a superset. It’s not surprising when a subset of a population demonstrates traits of the population as a whole. It’s only when they don’t that things get interesting and you have to explain why. However the reverse is not true, and you cannot expect a a trait of a selected sample, especially a self selected sample such as women in online dating, to predict the general population. This is why it’s so critical to establish a truly random sample set when doing research.

Also, the selection bias works for both sexes in online dating. Just as the women are the bottom of the barrel, so to, I suspect, are most of the men: thirsty and desperate. So we have a sample set of men selected to be the most likely to rate the sort of ratchet busted ass worthless women in online dating as “average”.

Or at least that’s how I read this data.
