Could it be that some men go transexual because they realize the life of a female is perceived by society, as having much more value than the life of a male ? I know a young man who was severely depressed for years, because he was lonely and rejected by any girl he approached. He walked up to me in a target store and was excited to tell me he was now a “girl”.

I know that many say it’s a medical condition, and that’s certainly possible, but even in ancient times, straight egyptian men would sometimes wear wigs, and apply makeup, and i’m wondering if they thought this would give their life more value somehow ?

I once saw a video of a trans, who stated after the transition into a female, people started opening doors, and would stop to help with any problem he/she was having, and how society started treating them completely different … Just a thought.

yeah they know that girls receive more stuff like gifts,help with whatever,help with lifting even in video game if your character is girl or you have a girl name with a girl character, people will treat you better will give you free stuff and what not

Topic for some reason reminds me of the news story like several years ago about Manti Te’o and the real identity of his dead “girlfriend” that turned out to be another guy disguising as a young woman. The guy took a picture of a decent looking girl and impersonated her, and he managed to effortlessly make Manti fall, a NFL superstar that makes a ton of money and is easily among the top percentile in terms of SMV.

I mean it happens all the time, good for nothing women who come from nothing and live in third world countries, end up getting good quality men’s attention. Had the whole Manti fiasco been the other way around, had the sexes been reversed, it would have never happened. It’s just so easy for a woman to be treated well and valued. As men, we are instead told to shut up and man up.

I play video games sometimes myself and from what I’ve seen, the attention the so called female gamers receive online is downright nauseating.

I had this discussion with a friend just the other day. His theory was that young girls are identifying as males because “they just want to be left alone and nobody harrasses boys”.

BULL S~~~! I said. I don’t know what bubble you were raised in but I got beat up all the time in school. The jocks, the motorheads, the stoners… even the geeks who were higher up the chain than me… boys are CONSTANTLY getting harrassed as other boys try to man them up… and nobody gives TWO S~~~S about how a boy feels about it.

But he does make a point… the fact that these girls think a man’s life is so easy is probably why they want to be us. Similarly, I suspect there are a lot of men who were broken by a woman (domineering mother, first crush, violent lover) who have decided that the way to never be f~~~ed over by a woman again is to become one.

You think Bruce Jenner always wanted to be a woman? Or maybe was it because he was so henpecked by that house full of shrews he lives with that he just decided if you can’t beat them, join them!

Hey, at least when men turn themselves into women they usually do it better than the women do. Can’t say that the other way around. Baily Jay is probably hotter than 80% of the porn whoring girls he competes with because he’s a man and he knows how to appeal to men. But is there a F to M porn star that any female could call by name? Is there an F to M ANYTHING that ANYONE gives a rat’s ass about? I surely can’t think of one.

I agree with your overall viewpoint. But why should laymen decide how to deal with a mental illness. Doctors and patients communicate with each other on what the best treatment is and they are always looking to improve treatment.

I do not deny a schizophrenic the right to treat his or her mental illness so i do not do the same for transexuals. Many transexuals are happier after they take hormone replacement therapy.

In my opinion, it is better for Transexuals to accept the body they’ve been given and live life with what theyve been given. But i’m not a transexual or a doctor in that area so i let them decide their own fate.

It certainly appears to be a mental illness. I won’t pretend to understand what’s going on in their brains.

That being said, I agree with the OP’s main point. In a society where women are treated like royalty and men are treated like slaves, it makes sense that some men would want to be women, if only to improve the quality of their life. The mental illness part comes in when they think they can make their fantasy a reality. In the end, many (and I suspect most) come to regret their decision, but while they received endless encouragement and support to get a sex change, they are abandoned the moment they wish they hadn’t.

These people need help more than anything else. I suspect many were raised by liberal (qua ResidentEvil7) single mothers (qua Akanbi) who never had a strong manly role model and were treated like s~~~ by women. What they really need is to sit down and have a chat with Key Master and then go watch some f~~~ing John Wayne westerns.
