You are pretty accurate in your assessment of modern women, Gargamel. The reason I say modern women is because of how I was raised. My mother is nothing like the women I have experienced in my life. A lot has to do with the era in which she was brought up, how much religion played a part in her upbringing and the overall wealth her family had. My programming was less from TV but more from my own mother and what I should expect from a wife.

I am very fortunate to have the mother that I do. Unfortunately, that put me in a world of pain when trying to find a comparable woman to be my wife and mother to my kids. I don’t wish bad upon any of my exes even though they put me through hell. I just wish society didn’t take the route that it did.

This thread takes me back to Christmas and New Year’s Eve of 1990.
