2. He is not in jail for non-payment. That would be debtor’s prison, which is unconstitutional in the USA. Oh no, he is in jail for “contempt of court.” It makes sense in a way that not having enough money to pay the judge his cut is being contemptuous — in the judge’s eyes.

3. While he is in the clink, we, the taxpayers, are footing the bill.

4. When he gets out, his debts will be all the higher. So back in he goes!

Conclusion: Marriage in today’s legal structure makes a potential jailbird of every man caught in its web.

Here’s the weird thing about his situation. He doesn’t have to be an attorney to do taxes for a corporation. He can sign a tax return if he is an officer of the company. I have my CPA, but I don’t NEED it. That said, who is going to make him an officer of a company if he has a police record….

The scariest thing about this story is how many men have alimony that’s more money than they make. How can a judge give away more than 100% of someone’s income? The person in jail should be the judge.
