I’m sorry to hear about your family. I can’t imagine but empathize.

Divorce can be hard or real hard. Don’t know if you’re using lawyers yet but some ideas for you.

Document everything said or done of importance. Verify anything said to you by ex when it comes to agreement on splitting stuff. Finalize with written agreement.
Stash some cash fast.
Get original important docs out of house that you might need.
Lawyer 1st visit free.
Any attorney you consult with (even for free) cannot represent her.

Not to be Debbie downer, but if everything is calm on the surface between you two right now, consider what if? What if she goes awalt?
What if she makes that phone call. Read my introduction. I thought I was safe. Now picture me in the attic with a 10 minutes warning to leave MY hose, getting my docs, putting cash in my shoes while police are right there at attic opening. Seriously, one call and you’re treated like a criminal so be safe brother. It’s for sure worse case scenario but needs to be said.

A warm thank you to everyone for your acceptance here! I have had my legal plan in place for awhile. No joint accounts only thing “IT” is on is the house . The events to come will be ugly but not as ugly as a life with someone who hates you. I no longer hold the hate for her I did for awhile. I just don’t care anymore. Apathy is a powerful force!!
