We have been hearing “The sky is falling” quite a bit, people saying “Be prepared”!
People respond by saying “I’m prepared, I bought a pile of Zombie bullets” or a ton of “Survival foods”, or “I have my bug-out-bag”. Really? REALLY? And just where in the hell are you bugging out to?
If you bought tons of supplies, good for you, how are you going to haul it?
All sorts of guns and ammo? Same question.
What you should ask your self is…
Can I kill a deer? Can I field dress it, butcher it and smoke the meat? Some folks think their meat comes from a grocery store. Well, it does, but when that’s all gone? Can you cook over an open fire? Got the stuff? Can you light a fire with a magnifying glass or with flint & steel? Know what char cloth is, or tinder?
Know how to gut or filet a fish? Hell, can you catch one?
Do you buy ammo for your guns, or make it? Cast bullets, or buy them? Know how to fletch arrows? How about a fire pit?
Things to consider…..THAT’S what being prepared is all about.

I know how to butcher a pig. Isn’t a deer just like a long, skinny, hairy pig???

having multiple ways to cook is vital..
have lots of extra propane for
    BBQ
    portable stove
    and wood to cook on.
empty CLEAN buckets to wash dishes,
and one for the “bucket bath”..

20 min video of some off the grid folks..
good to watch at least once.
    .
i recommend having basic medical supplies as well.
hydrogen peroxide to clean any cuts,
you do NOT want to have an infection when the grid is down.
    .
a little common sense will go a long way.
    have extra aspirin
and any medicines you need .

Stockpiling s~~~ is just stupid. A force stronger than your defense will come and take it all one day if they want/need it, including Government forces.

If s~~~ ever did go really bad a .22 rifle to hunt small game with, a 9mm pistol to sleep with, fishing gear, and some light weight backpacking and survival gear is all you need. GTFO if s~~~ hits the fan. Get away from what will be a zombie apocalypse in populated areas.

By the time they get to me they’ll be starved, weak, and easy to kill! Don’t even need to waste ammo! Use a sledgehammer!

hydrogen peroxide to clean any cuts,

What about ‘Absorbine’ liniment? It’s a fungicide. Could that be used to sterilize cuts???
