As if we need more proof that going your own way is healthy, I just found this (admittedly a few years late):

Brazil’s oldest man smoked a pack a day

I’ll be damned. You mean all of those “expert” studies we’ve heard since we were kids that married people are the healthiest and happiest are not true? You mean we were lied to? What the hell? I’m sure he hasn’t had no easier a life than any of the rest of us, but one thing is for damn sure, he’s gone his own way for over 100 years. Good for him, whatever his age is.

As I have come to understand over these last few years, unmarried men are usually much healthier than those whom are married. This example is just one of so many that are out there. As I see it, when a man stays unmarried, he has the time and energy to focus on himself. While a married man is always expected to spend his energy on one woman, constantly.

By staying unmarried a man will usually find the time to find his purpose in life, always having time for the things that HE wants to do. Such a life is a life of happiness, and as we all know a laughter always extends ones life:)

It is, perhaps deliberately, mistaken statistics much like the oft-repeated and just as often refute “wage gap” nonsense women and their media enablers continually bleat about is also mistaken statistics. How they made the “mistake” or, more accurately, how they wanted to make the mistake was to lump all men of all ages together while ignoring when death occurred.

There’s a spike in male death rates running from roughly our mid-teens to our mid-twenties. It’s due to factors like risk taking, lack of experience, and even warfare. Basically, men of that age group are more apt to make stupid choices and that correlates to more deaths. However, men of that age group are more likely to eventually marry than bachelors in the 30s, 40s, or 50s so counting these dead-before-their-time men 18-26 year old group as “bachelors” or “never married” skews the data.

Once you control your study for that while also controlling for male death rates immediately after divorce, the difference in single vs. married death rates actually reverses. Everything else being equal, once you’ve passed thirty or so and avoided marriage you’re going to live longer than your married peer and, sadly, even longer than your divorced peer.

Do not date. Do not impregnate. Do not co-habitate. Above all, do not marry. Reclaim and never again surrender your personal sovereignty.
