I have been a fan of old radio’s and Tube electronics. Most of the time, people are good at fixing stuff, or doing video’s. Mr Carlson Does it again. Great High quality video. And a great explantation and walk through to old time American tech.

If you love Bakelite radios? This is is your relaxing walk through time.

For some sites that go more into these, here are some quick primers.

Major Collection of 120+ Catalin & Bakelite Radios from 1930s and 1940s

    And what a collection.

Now the only problem. Most of everything on the radio these days sucks. Oh well.

You are all alone. If you have been falsely accused of RAPE, DV, PLEASE let all men know about the people who did this. http://register-her.net/web/guest/home

Perhaps not related – I am listening to CBS Mystery Radio Theatre – their production gives that old school radio aura.

I can imagine it blasting from that speaker as I sip on some scotch with a cigar. Good times ๐Ÿ™‚

I remember as a project for AIT we had to build an AM radio from parts. Quite fascinating how they work.

Don't stick your dick into anyone you aren't willing to put up with for eighteen years and nine months.

    Okay, extra for experts…
This is the dial from the console stereo I grew up with in the 60s…
    radio

    …notice the little triangles.
For bonus points, why do nearly all early 50s-early 60s US radios (car, console, portable, tube, transistor) have them?
