I like this description. They certainly seem to be on a treadmill – to absolutely nowhere in the end. When I was trying to understand the insanity of BPD, I often came on a similar descriptor – that borderlines did not have a disease, proper, but rather suffered from a permanent state of dis-ease. Never content, never able to just take a chill pill and f~~~ing relax.
