I have been lurking these forums for a few months, and realized I hadn’t yet written an introduction.

I am a nearly 40 year old man, who took the red pill about six years ago. The sad fact is I had seen the light for years, but I just kept swallowing the blue pill, and taking the abuse over and over again, because I didn’t realize there was any other way.

I could tell you the horror stories, how every woman I have ever dated betrayed me, but really, who wants to hear it? Suffice to say that about six years ago, I decided to take a break from dating, and relationships with women in general.

Luckily I’ve not married nor had children – bad genes – Cardiac/vascular/pulmonary/renal disease run on ~both~ sides of my family, with a healthy dose of cancer as well. If I hit 65 I’ll be the first male on my Father’s side for four generations to do so, and three generations on my Mother’s. I did all this math in my early twenties and had a vasectomy at 24.

Things haven’t been all sunshine and rainbows since I went my own way. All of my female “friends” have realized that I have left the plantation, and are clearly uneasy with the realization that I no longer give a f~~~ if they are pretty. Most of my male friends are firmly chained to the plantation and their daily regiment of blue pills. So, I get a not insignificant bit of grief from all parties in regards to my choice to go my own way. They went so far as to stage an intervention for me. To be fair, with my older sister and father having died less than a year apart, I did need it. But an unreasonable amount of attention was placed on the fact that I adamantly refused to date. The therapist they requested I go to was a woman (of course), and she was definitely unnerved by my choice.

Finding these forums has been such a relief. Most of the MRA sites I had seen in the past were full of asshole PUAs, or just incredibly bitter misogynists. Sure we have a few of those here, but for the most part, the members I see don’t hate women or want to use them. They just recognize the danger they represent, and don’t interact with them. Which is where I am as well.

Not much of an introduction, I know, but talking about this is still hard for me.

<Edit> After going over this for grammar, I realized that I hadn’t mentioned anything positive, which does a grave disservice to MGTOW.

Aside from other issues unrelated to women, going my own way has been the best choice I have made in my life, with the possible exception of my vasectomy. No longer having that unspoken social pressure to be in a relationship, or working towards that goal is a weight off my shoulders. No more relationship tests, no more blowing money on women. Thanks to my choice to go my own way, I went on a three week motorcycle trip this summer. Just me and my bike. 9,600 miles, 21 states in 23 days. It was bliss. It was also something I never would have been able to do if I had stayed involved with women. So, positive. Going my own way was the right choice. I don’t begrudge those who have found happiness in their relationships, but for me? I’m happier on my own.

Welcome Ja[H]x. Thanks for the intro

for the most part, the members I see don’t hate women or want to use them. They just recognize the danger they represent, and don’t interact with them.

That’s a great observation and it’s the observation I made before continuing to read the forums and eventually post. That was about 2 years back and it’s great to know things haven’t changed in that regard. Enjoy the forums!

    Thank you for intro
Lesving the plantation is the best move a man can make at this time in our collective history.
Feminazies are undermining everything men have done in the world. Today, we are the enemy.
Leave them alone & they will destroy themselves. Its only a matter of time.
    F~~~em all.
