    Greetings everyone!
Could you tell me please, is it possible to install Objective-C compiler on Windows operating system? Preferably, I want to find the extension for Visual studio compiler.
    Another question is:
What are the best versions of Linux to start with? I took the Kali Linux. Am I right that Bash is a console scripting language in Linux?

It depends on what you’re trying to do.
If you’re developing a new app that is cross-compatible with MacOS you should be using swift not objective-c.
If you’re updating a legacy app then the gcc compiler works fine, unless you’re using cocoa and similar frameworks in which case you should probably be using Xcode anyway.

Regarding linux – same thing, depends what you want to do.
For a general OS the likes of Ubuntu, Mint, Debian (my personal favourite) are all good. Ubuntu and Microsoft are very friendly at the moment and you can run a lot of linux stuff through windows including BASH.

Kali linux is not an everyday desktop distro – it is for penetration testers and other people who like that sort of thing.

Do a search for Linux BASH shell on windows.
Do a search for distrowatch to get the latest popularity tables for different flavours of linux.
