Government is actually wishing to be in control of peoples’ housing. They want to be in charge of buildings and have that control over people that live in them, and taxpayers. Gives them excuses to raise taxes because they know the place will go to hell, and crime will increase. all the landlords who don’t want to be screwed and face huge losses will stop being landlords. all that will be left are crappy landlords and govt running buildings.

Its what they want.

As long as a man has control of the roof over his head, he can say ‘screw you’.

Here in the UK, much of the housing in towns and cities is owned by the local authority. Most tenants are on welfare, and even those who aren’t don’t pay market rates.

In theory, tenants are checked, and if they contravene the tenancy agreement, evicted. In reality, criminals are routinely protected by local authority staff – not that that is a surprise, given that they are often relatives.

When a female landlord or tenant is assaulted or raped by a violent felon (male), they will have to modify or amend the rule.
It will still be men’s fault for being men, though.
