    They don’t make country music like that anymore. All the country music I listen to is old.

    I remember my parents playing “Elvira” by The Oakridge Boys on a record player when I was a kid. Gotta love that deep voice.

    After listening to some country music while “In Country” last year. I found I liked the working class roots of the sound.

    I also noticed that many lyrics centered around how some poor guy had been messed around by his woman after breaking his back to support her. Heartbroken he decides to drink himself to oblivion.

    What I didn’t hear was any lyrics detailing how a man could avoid this fate and strike out on his own.
